Green Room - Week 12 - Weekend Edition

Hello!

I'm borrowing a computer for the afternoon and figured that I would stop by and give you a Green Room for the weekend!

There was something that I was going to say today. Something. . . *thinks*. . . man, I just can't think of it.

Someone had a birthday or something. Nope. Got nothing.

Oh well, I'm sure it will come to me sooner or later!*G*

So how is everyone doing this weekend?

Any particular stand outs in this week's crop of entries that you want to make sure people wander over to check out?

For me this weekend has been working out to be "interesting" if "interesting" now means no computer access from home and falling asleep after coming home, realizing that the computer still isn't working, and deciding to sit down and watch the entire season 2 of 30 Rock!*g* I finished it, turned off the TV, walked back where I was sitting and the next thing I knew it was almost 4 hours later! Oops!

It's STILL snowing! Now they're saying we're supposedly getting another 4-8" tomorrow before it might possibly switch over to sleet.

It took me over an hour to get to work this morning. One highway was more or less clear (well, as clear as it could be in this type of weather) while the other hadn't even been plowed. I stayed right behind a limo going 15 mph.

Oldest Niece's birthday party in an hour. I'm really hoping my BIL/SIL in Rhode Island aren't honestly going to make an attempt to come up here for it...

Finished my shopping today. It's easier when you're not allowed to do any lifting. LOL My 'boys' are ready to jump at my command these days. I'm enjoying while I can because my recovery is going very quickly. We got dumped on last night and I didn't have to shovel anything!

I'm looking forward to trying some new cuisine tonight with my wife and a friend of ours. There's a Jamaican place nearby and it serves some dishes I've never heard of. I love trying new things, so this should be an experience!

Other than that, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed, hoping I stay in the running. I'm particularly proud of my entry this week.

Since I know you have the paperwork, is there any way at all to get it to run on heat pump only until the gas company comes? Or will it only run on gas below a certain temp?

We got a foot of snow yesterday, and it's been snowing most of today. Another 4-8 inches predicted (so far) for tomorrow!

Yesterday I did cards, today we decorated the tree. It's been nice, quiet family time. Tonight is probably The Muppet Christmas Carol :-)

Hoping that some of you just have not made it to my entry yet...otherwise it is not looking too good for me ATM :-\

I'm staying home as much as possible - they are forecasting 3-8" of snow here today, plus hurricane force winds and then everything changing over to freezing rain leaving inches of ice on everything. When I watched the weather report last night, I asked my husband if I was in an alternate relatity. We never see this kind of prolonged weather in the Northwest.

Thankfully, we got all of our Christmas shopping done yesterday. Not so thankfully, I still have a big package of presents that needs to be sent to my stepdaughter in Florida. I probably won't get it out until Monday, when I'll have to pay through the nose to make sure it gets there before Christmas.

Hi all!
Just finished cleaning the kitchen from imafarmgirl and my latest cookie adventure. We made more peanut blossom cookies and thumbprint cookies with apricot and raspberry jam. *sets out a plate of cookies*. It was an adventure because the thumbprint cookie recipe was terrible so we had to fix it. All was saved! We had fun but I'm tired now!

All of you talking about snow makes me miss it. Well not the shoveling part, but the oh it's so pretty and I have a good excuse to stay inside all day.

I'm working today, trying to get back into the groove of rehearsal. And tracking down a UPS package that didn't get delivered yesterday for lack of a signature (I want to redirect it to my office but am having issues with the ups website.)
