It's sixty eight degrees here. It will be seventy-five this afternoon.

It was below freezing two nights earlier in the week.

Yay for second!

This morning is the first (and allegedly ONLY) jeans day that is being allowed by my firm, so I am taking full advantage. Of course, the reason for this is due to them turning off the furnace for four hours...so THAT should be lovely. Not.

I've started reading some of the entries and they are fabulous! I am hoping to get them all read by the end of tomorrow. I'll be spending the weekend baking, so it will be a nice diversion from the oven.

Going to into snow but luckily it doesn't look like we got the amount they said we were. First it was 1 to 3 then 3 to 6 I think we got about 2. I know this weekend there is a chance to get a big storm but we shall see what happens.

I think it should be warm enough for me to go outside for a bit: upper 60's. Don't know how much longer it will last, so I'm enjoying every second of it!

Ooh, early GR! Schools are closed here today (CT) but I'm up due to a hungry 5 year old.

Our plans today include a quick morning dash to Michaels before the snow arrives, as we (my daughter and I) need a couple of craft supplies. Then it's Hunker Down time! We're going to decorate the tree, do a little baking, and generally enjoy being cozy and warm together.

I'm staying warm because it's only 55 outside, I'm wearing my favorite black sweater, and I plan on drinking wine at the office Christmas lunch today. :D

It's supposed to hit around 70 today here in north Georgia. Last week we were having record low temps. No wonder everyone's sniffly!

I'll be staying warm by curling up with my laptop and writing about space pirates. And smut. And space pirates committing acts of smut. Just have to figure out how to keep the kids from reading over my shoulder, as they're home on winter break now.

Also, my Christmas break starts today. :D Lots of stuff to get done by the 23rd, and even more to get done before the new year. And I got squished in a train door on my way home. O.o I swear, the stuff that happens to me is too wierd to make up!

Before this Really Big Serious Snowstorm hits, I've got to run to the supermarket and then get gas for the car. We were planning on driving up to the cemetery to pay respect to my parents (my mom's anniversary is today; my dad's was last week), but if the storm hits when they're saying it will hit, we'll be on the way back here...and I don't really want to get caught on an expressway in the middle of a snowstorm, y'know?

I may go back to bed.

On the positive side, this is the last day of work for me till the 29th. On the less-positive, I just found out I'm in trouble for something nobody told me I was doing wrong. ARG!

Hey all. Sick again, but getting better. Ended up sleeping in the spare room last night which wasn't as bad as it sounds. I snore even in the best of times, so when I have a cold it gets even worse, which means my wife wakes me up every hour or so so that she can get some sleep. The guest room was a much better option.

Here's hoping that tonight I'll be able to sleep in my own bed. Drinking lots of OJ, and taking good meds. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

First, Thank you for all of the well wishes yesterday. I think the JooJoo that was sent our way helped out because all is fine. There is no need for spinal surgery at this time and her scoliosis will finally start being treated (it was put off until we saw the neurosurgeon).

I'm just waiting to post my entry. I've edited, now need to step away for a bit and come back for the last edit (if any) and posting. I'll be glad to get this one out...it's been a doozy.

Since we're child-free for the next few hours, I think I'll get warmed up by crawling back in bed with Brando for a mid-morning nap. I'm entitled to a nap since I've been up for 4 hours already, right?

Good morning! No work for me because of the pending storm. We're supposed to get up to about 18 inches of the stuff. Where I live is supposed to get the worst of the snow. So I can read the rest of the entries and play in here! Woohoo! imafarmgirl is coming down with cinnamon buns! MMM! We're going to bake more cookies tomorrow.

I have a snow day from work, woohoo! I've getting spoilled lately. With our heater breaking at work and now a snow day I've hardly had to work. I'm about to go downstairs bringing cinnamon buns to baxaphobia, and we'll have fudge nut coffee with them.

Places out a platter of cinnamon buns for everyone. I'm sure baxaphobia will give everyone access to her new, and fantastic, coffee pot.

Warmth is not an issue - DRY is an issue. It was raining like holy hell when I got to work earlier, and poor me having to make 3 trips to the car to bring in five 2-liters of pop and two trays of cupcakes for our afternoon shindig!

(The pop especially needed to be brought in, to go in the fridge - who wants warm pop, besides minikin's son??)

Actually, it warmed up overnight here in Nashville to about 65 degrees, although the sun still refuses to come out and it's still raining.

Count me in with the people who can stay warm by stepping outside. Currently 61, with a high of 64. The thermometer on our minivan reported 66 degrees this morning while doing the morning family taxi service.

The weather is *weird* though. When we left the house, the ground was wet, but it wasn't raining (this didn't keep my daughters from using their umbrellas). The rain thankfully stayed away until after the older daughter was dropped off with a grocery bag of snacks in one hand and presents for her teachers in the other hand.

The rain started shortly thereafter, but was still relatively light when I dropped my husband off. Then the flood gates opened and I thought we were going to be swept away in the torrential downpour and gusty winds.

By the time I was close to home...no rain and the sun was shining. Still windy though, so my younger daughter could not open her umbrella (she still had fun carrying it inside though).

Haven't seen the sun in forever, I needed that. :)

It's not cold here in Texas today, but Rhonda, Abbi and I have gotten geared up to head into cold weather (Ohio, Rhonda's folks) on Saturday.

It's not that cold here! I have the next 3 days off work before we leave for Wisconsin, so I get to take it easy a little.

We're trying to shop for electric pianos, but Target discontinued the one that we want.

Still haven't decided if I'm going to take my bye this week or not. I don't do well with "favorite" anythings.
