So I get the honor of doing the Green Room today!

Sorry it's late.  I had to go to the doctor this morning and get a flu shot and visit the vampire and stop to get some tacos on the way home.

Our venerable host is having technical difficulties that will hopefully be resolved before the poll needs to be posted tonight.  Keep his laptop in your good thoughts.  ;-)

Hi!

Aww, not quite first.

I am super stressed about graduate school applications and will probably end up taking a bye this week, but I am holding out for a couple more hours just in case something occurs to me before the deadline (and also, I admit it, just in case there's a List of Shame for me to be on ;-)).

Curious what the mysterious powers will be and who will get them!

Both my husband finding_bliss and I have the day off, so it's off to the street fair downtown to buy some Christmas gifts. We bowl tonight, too...yay! I work tomorrow, but have all day Sunday off, which we're planning on spending watching The Dark Knight and eating homemade chicken nachos. Mmmmmm. :-)

This weekend?
Tonight...well make that starting at 3pm is the firms holiday party. Suppose to be a toned down version compared to previous years. From the email today it's toned down but still a bit on the fancy side.
After that maybe hitting a movie once I get home

Tomorrow:
3 hours of belly dancing...1 1/2 hour of rehearsal and then 1 1/2 hour for class
In the evening having dinner with the family

Sunday
MarsCon meeting most of the day

and somewhere in the middle of all that busting my butt to get my final lesson plan and paper done as next week is the end of the semester, thank the gods

Morning/afternoon. Hey Gary today is alexpgp's birthday. There are a lot of people in idol born in December, huh? But just one person is born on the 20th which is in a week almost :P

This weekend: nothing. We've actually planned that. To have nothing to do this weekend (as in obligations).

I'm burning all of my "use it or lose it" PTO at the end of the year, so I gave from the 24th to the 5th off at work.

A friend asked me what I had planned for the almost two weeks. I told him, "Absolutely nothing. I might not even wake up!"

In between naps and sleeping, I guess I could read some Idol entries, vote, and either take a bye or write one for that week as well. But, my laptop says that I still wouldn't have to get out of bed to do that.

This weekend promises to be an exciting one. There is grocery shopping and general hanging-about tomorrow, and work on Sunday 11-6. I'm not going near the stores except for on Sunday when I have to work in one. My son's working on Sunday as well, so I may have KFC for a mid-afternoon snack....

Today, hang out around the comp for a while, then after noon will have a bath so I can put on my good clothes, as we are taking dad out for his birthday tonight. Tomorrow, is up in the air for me, as Dad is headed to Quesnel to assist Grandpa with a few things, and Mom has no idea if she will go. I will be home. Sunday afternoon may have an executive board meeting via teleconference. Monday is definitely grocery shopping with my sister's husband, and check out house, learn everything, etc, Tuesday night is Fun Nite at bowling, then Wednesday head over to my sister's house to start taking care of the place for 2 1/2 weeks... I am staying there for the holidays this year. Friday morning is my glaucoma check up. Sound busy enough for you?

I also got accepted to the teaching program at my current school, so i'll be able to start that next fall :)

We just finished the December graduation for students who finished this semester. The hall was too small, there were far too many staff for the amount of work to be done, the boss got a parking ticket in a spot we paid to reserve, and some mean lady who works in the building called the fire marshall on us.

Hi all!
Today: hanging out cuz I had the day off due to the heat still not being fixed at work...not complaining about that.
Tomorrow: imafarmgirl and I are backing cookies.
Sunday: unknown.

We didn't get much ice but a ton of rain. It probably will freeze over tonighyt. Glad I don't have to go out. Bruno said the mountains are really pretty cuz they are coated with ice.

Well, I posted my Equus fun yesterday, and I'm supposed to post my Strawberry Fields experiences (awesome!!!) today, but I'm not feeling well so I may just whine and moan all day. Or play Second Life, which I finally just joined last night.

Point is, guess I'm not that motivated today. And I'm totally open to reiki & energetic love to make me feel better before my family makes my brain explode from a lack of compassion. For some reason, they still think I should be waiting on them hand and foot instead of the other way around.

My connection has stabilized *for now*. Hopefully it will stay that way.

It appears to be the adapter cord that is giving me problems. A lot of times it isn't even acknowledging that it is plugged in and the battery dies to the point that I can't even restart. (it died last night - and I got it restarted *just a few minutes ago*)

I checked out Radio Shack and they wanted $90 for a new one. So that's out for now. I just have to hope it keeps eventually realizing that it is supposed to be working!!*G*
