Excellent! My first first.

I have my annual review today, so I'm trying to make a wardrobe choice that won't reveal the fact that my body temperature will be circa 450 degrees while hearing about my accomplishments over the past year (or lack thereof).

My back is worse again; like a stupid ass I slept on the train this morning, and it kinked my back up. So now the right side of it hurts, where the pain started in the left side. Stupid back. Tomorrow I'll drive to school so I don't do something stupid like that again.

Other than that, I'm pretty good. I just announced the wiki I've been working on opening up to the relevant community, so that's one thing off the list.

And it's the boything's (shurhaian) birthday, sayeth Semagic. I kind of feel bad about not having any art ready for him, but I mailed his birthday/Christmas care package earlier this week and he knows I've been unable to sit and draw, so I don't think he'll be as disappointed about it as I am.

Can't wait for the weekend, tho.

I put my two dogs in boarding for the day since there will be a couple of plumbers here for the day. They would eventually calm down and be fine with the strangers, but this makes it easier on everyone.

Thankfully this also means that Monster and MaiTai will be coming home tired after a day of playing with a bunch of other dogs. Since it's been raining for a few days they've both had energy to spare. I love them, but when they're going crazy from lack of exercise it's just no fun.

And as for me, I'll be sitting here all day, playing Civilization III* while my dishwasher, garbage disposal, and water softener all get installed. Yay!

Anyone experience yet the Christmas shopping hell? I had to wait on lines forever because someone decided to run to the atm in the middle of the transaction. The cashier waited for him!

Then he came back, dropped his other bags on my foot. He didn't say sorry, he just looked at me and said "fuck".

It's raining, and I have a new puppy.

I'm sure the neighbors think I'm a total loon, standing in the backyard saying "Go potty! Go potty!" all morning. In the rain.

On to other things:
I owe all the other contestants an apology.
This topic is a very difficult one for me. Getting my entry out wasn't a problem, but it's drug up a host of memories from a time when I made a lot of bad decisions and suffered a lot of very unpleasant consequences. I've been reading all the other entries, but I can't bring myself to post responses. I've tried, and for some reason there's a block there.
I apologize for not being supportive this time around.

Morning! I've got the late shift today, so here I am :)

I've got 3 days off next week (2 paid -- have to be used before year's end), so I'm thinking of perhaps actually making stuff to give as little presents. One of my coworkers presented us with little bags of biscotti, anise drops, hermits, and Italian cornmeal cookies when we went out to dinner last week. My mind's been a-whirling with chocolate crinkles, peppermint bark, lemon-ginger drops, and hmmm...soft ginger cookies, maybe? I've got to find the recipe.

Oh, and I unwittingly created a storm here at home with my entry this week :(

Doing good. My 3 week tenure as a combat teacher ended today. *sighs* I'm going to miss those kids.

I'm also cussing out a certain actor in my head because in doing my "let's see what else this actor has done" habit + now owning a TIVO = me becoming addicted to gilmore girls.

oh, and I need to write my topic today and hope that the list of shame isn't posted early to make me end up on it.
