Eliminations - Week 10

Good evening. Or rather "sort of" good evening.

For three people obviously it's not. Those are the three leaving us this week, and marking the first eliminations of the "second half" of this Season:

One tribal leader, one veteran and one person who had been granted an immunity to hand out. In the last case it was *one last minute vote* from being a *7 way tie*, so clearly anyone who says their one vote doesn't count isn't paying attention to that particular tribe!

I hope that all of you will stick around and play the Home Game/play in the Green Room.

Hey, everyone,

This year's Idol competition really was a lot of fun. Thanks, everyone, for making it that way. I do plan to participate in the home game as much as possible. At any rate, good luck to the rest of you and I hope the rest of the season is as entertaining and even instructive as the first part was.

I don't know if I have actually said this in public, so I might as well say it now - and to you directly - you *single-handily* were the person who convinced me not to have Gold Stars this season.

Which convincing me of doing anything is always an interesting experience!*g*

Gold Stars? What are those? I mean, I know what gold stars are, but I assume they are something different in this game than the actual little gold star stickers. ;)

Last season I handed them out to people that I felt "made a difference" each week. Not on the entries or direct participation but more of a "right place at the right time" award.

The gold stars ended up being used to settle tie-breakers.

Honestly? I'm angry right now. Not at the fact that I lost, and definitely not at anyone in the game. Everyone cast their votes the way they deemed best, and "the tribe has spoken," as it were.

I'm angry at myself, because I know I went out with less than my best. Worse, I know exactly what I could have improved.

If I'd gone out with my best writing, I could live with it; I could say that I'd been beaten by better writers. Not to say that wasn't the case here, but I feel like I beat myself.

And to someone as competitive as I am, that's going to sting for a while.

Oh well. C'est le jeu. I'll definitely stick around in the GR and play the home game. This has been a lot of fun, and I'm curious to see how everything plays out.

Don't forget... last season, Gary gave out the power to bring players back. So keep watching and make sure to do home game entries! Who knows what Gary will throw at us?!
