With elderwoodpixie unfortunately leaving us due to real life, (I notice not before she got a "Happy Belated Birthday" out of it though!*G*) we inch closer to having lost *100* contestants! So the pressure is definitely on!

I noticed something else, for those playing the "Idol meta game": We ARE going to hit 75,000 comments. Probably early in Jan. Maybe sooner than that. Which one of you will be able to claim that prize???? (We hit 50,000 toward the end of Season 4. Which just goes to show "some people" have a lot to say!*g*)

Some folks have been noticing that I've been slightly "punchy" lately. Just so you know, I should be getting back to an even keel; I've been going off caffeine, trying to kick the habit.

It's been very difficult, and my brain hasn't been working very well for the past few days, but I'm 4 days into it, and I'm starting to feel as though I'm going back to normal.

Thankfully, the headache is starting to fade. Should be gone by tomorrow, I'm hoping.

Claudia's health improved when she went off coffee for several weeks...her hives disappeared (I think she's allergic to it or more specifically the coffee at her work, when it starts)..

Having coffee and waking up. Mr Bear (my 5yo son) is eating cereal and watching Pokemon. Today is my first day this week with no errands, so I hope to just be busy here at home. And writing my entry, since I haven't yet!!

Right now, though, going back to bed would be soooo nice..but it's not to be. There may be a nap during Sesame Street later.

Well I'm over the the bloody hump (and fuck no we didn't celebrate)...

I'm just happy it's almost Friday - another weekend - more recovery time. Got sort of bad job news a couple of days ago - it's been hard to keep our composure when we know all these contractors are getting hired and we probably won't be - when March swings around. It really sucks because upper management at our company are morons.

I am so vain, I think that comment about comments is about me!

I just sent my husband off to work, so now I can focus on other important things (email, GR, my own breakfast).

I was an emotional wreck yesterday. I felt like I had to hide it, which isn't like me at all, but you know how sometimes you just *don't* want to put your whole life out there for your friends, even though you know they care?

Yeah, that is how I felt. I have a lot more hope today than I did yesterday, but the work will be harder. Still, I know I can handle it. Cheery voice and fake-it-til-I-make-it confidence will go a long way.

And a GR full of wonderful people who don't care (mostly) how neurotic I really am.

MinPin chewed up a Christmas ornament last night. We found a piece of wire that looks like the hook, but it was disfigured like he was chewing on it. Oy... I guess we can't leave him in the living room for Christmas, can we?

Ok, that's not really all I care about, but it does make my day. Right now I wouldn't mind a little day-making, as my job-hunting husband is having the Holiday Blahs and keeps inadvertently raining on my parade. Also father-in-law is having surgery tomorrow and that's just all kinds of family drama! But it's Thursday-- almost the weekend! Yay almost-weekend!!

Good morning (Yawn). I was up in the middle of the night because Bruno stayed home from work with a terrible back ache. Given that he works in construction, this is not good. let's hope it's just a passing thing. Sigh

I've already had my first weeping phone call of the morning. Sigh. I can't wait til this hearing is over later this morning. Wish me luck! I want this woman to get benefits so I don't have to deal with her anymore! So send me that magic green room power!

Hey, I actually made it to the green room before we hit 100 comments! It's been a while since I've done that. :)

I was out all day yesterday...went Christmas shopping with my mom (and my 3 year old daughter, who is sworn to secrecy about what she saw me buy..heh) and then we just hung out at my parents' house until it was time for me to go pick up the 6 year old.

I've started (re)learning German, using a book and tapes that are meant for learning German quickly for travel. I'm not planning on actually going to Germany (at least not anytime in the near future), but it's still fun. Yesterday afternoon, when I turned on the tape before I started driving, the first sentence it started with was "I would like a beer". How did they know?!?
