I've been doing some technical writing lately, marketing pieces for a company. Which has reminded me of what I don't like about myself when I'm writing. I'm a moody bastard! ;)

Granted, I'm a moody bastard when I'm NOT writing. But the creative process seems to draw out that side to a higher degree!

It reminds me of my teenage/early 20s when I would walk down to the walkway over the highway in the middle of the night and sit there writing poetry.

Sometimes in my black trenchcoat.

Oh yes, looking back - a long haired young guy in a trenchcoat out in the middle of the night, watching cars go by, close to an elementary school - clearly it was a MUCH different time that no one ever called the cops on me!

We always talk about what we love about writing- but what do you really NOT like about the process?

I tend to be a "one and done" writer. I write it and then immediately want feedback on it. Going back and editing always ends up annoying me and getting me out of the "zone". (Which is probably why I don't do more of it - because being able to edit your stuff and bouncing back after criticism is one of those *extremely* important things to have as a writer!!)

How do you deal of the emotions of when you write something and hand it to someone to read?

We’ve come a long way, and there is still a long way to go from here until the Finals.

This week features some good news, some bad news and some just straight up news that really shouldn’t be all that surprising.

The good news is that having two weeks of no ties - the Redemption Tribe is no more. They have been reabsorbed into the ranks of the “regular tribes”! Congratulations to everyone who survived!

The bad news is that we have bye-outs. Not just any, but some really painful ones, because the list includes some people that I’ve been a huge fan of over the years, as well as some extremely promising newbies.

Leaving us today are: dakotawitch, kenakeri, kittenboo, slammerkinbabe. spydielives, teenagewitch and xshibumix


As far of the “straight forward news” - it’s a Community Only poll this week. Which means if you haven’t already joined the community, now is a damned good time to do so! (and tell your friends! The more the merrier!)

The poll will close on Monday, June 23rd at 9pm EDT and the contestant with the fewest votes in each tribe will be going home.

Oh yes, and the Bouncing Immunity HAS been passed on. With two immunities in the game, that should make life interesting!
