It's funny how a handful of people can throw you off your game, and so fundamentally annoy you that you start doubting if you really want to bother.

But that's how those things work isn't it? People who are so absorbed in the idea that their being bored is a license to do and say whatever. Regardless of who it pisses off and what commotion it causes.

I don't have to call out examples. You're on LJ. I'm sure you've seen bored people starting shit, just because they are bored and feel like starting it. I can probably go to a random LJ friends page and throw a dart and find an example of an entry/series of entries of people in a need of hobby or two.

It's draining, and nothing good ever comes out of it. Although, apparently it makes some self-satisfied. I guess that's enough.

Far better to concentrate on the good that is coming out of someplace, like oh say, Idol! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/519270.html where people are already posting their entries for this week and http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/519437.html where others are talking about writing.

That's the sort of thing that I can get behind, and gives me hope for LJ. Well, that and pictures of cats doing funny things. Those are the best!
