Hopefully you already have your partner and are writing your fingers to the bone. There should only be one person who doesn't have one (who can write on either topic). If that's not the case, you really should be letting people know as loudly as you possibly can!

How has your intersection experience been thus far?

A few words from clauderainsrm:

I love Intersections.

I know that they are popular with the majority of contestants over the course of seasons since they first appeared, as well as being popular with the readers.

Ideally, what an Intersection can do is take everyone outside of their normal comfort zones and see what happens when two creative folks bounce ideas off each other outside of the padded rooms where they usually hang out. :)

People who already have a connection can make it stronger. People who don't might end up making a new friend this way.

More importantly, it's an automatic "rec swap"! :)

Because in an intersection, not only are the contestants writing with a partner, their survival in the game relies on them as well.

The scores of the partners will be added together, and the two pairs with the lowest total will be eliminated.

There is one wrinkle in this - there was going to be an odd number of contestants. So one person wasn't going to be selected to be on a team.

There is usually one person standing all alone at the end. This time her name is amenquohi.

She has no partner. However, she does have a special power. She can join your team, any time between now and when the poll closes.

Instead of having two amounts added together to determine your survival - you will have three. I don't think I have to spell out how valuable this makes her. She's the Wild Card!! :)

From looking over everything as I've been testing links, this is a solid week. If ever there was a week to spread the word about the great writing you can find here - I think this would definitely be a good one. (Well, any week is a good one to do that sort of thing, just some are better than others. :D)
