I'm freezy cold in northern New York State, cuddled up with my cat and my dinner, finally having time to read entries and reply to the comments I've gotten.

Why does time seem to fly faster in the winter? I guess because of how early it gets dark?

We did so much cleaning today, and then rewarded ourselves with sushi and Korean food. Mmmmmm delicious.

I have the worst mouth in the world at the moment. I have a horrible canker sore inside my bottom lip, I have my first ever tooth ache, and my lips are horribly chapped.

I can't eat, I can't sleep, and I can't even distract myself with going somewhere as there's about 10 feet of snow outside, and I don't want to get into another accident! :(

Also, just because this forum has more exposure than my poor unread journal - does anyone know anyone who can code wordpress themes?? :) I have the design and a mockup page done, but I is teh stoopid with php. :( Help?

Just finishing up dinner. Saturday is Soup Night at Chez Kizzy! Roasted red-pepper-and-tomato with smoked mozzarella/artichoke sausage and tiny elbows. Ooh, and warm cornbread. Mustn't forget cornbread!

I've been reading entries today but I think I've hit maximum saturation. After a certain point I stop liking anything.

Am I the only person who doesn't look at how I'm doing until I've finished reading everything to do my voting? I know there are ways of checking the poll before I vote, but I never have.

Also, I know I saw several home entries go by when I was skimming the green rooms this week but I never had the time to read any of them. Any chance home gamers could respond here with a link so I don't have to hunt them down? Might be helpful to other folks as well.

I've often wished for an official Home Game thread, because I only catch very occasional home game entries, even though a good friend of mine is playing it and I TRY to look for them!

I don't check the poll until Sunday, after I've already voted. I don't want to know, honestly. I get too nervous!

Cold here in CT too! I'm planning on crocheting on my son's afghan - it's fun to do AND keeps me warm at the same time ;-)

Knitting or crocheting an afghan in the winter is one of the coziest things ever. I learned my lesson about them being cold weather projects the year I was making an afghan for the fair (I was in 4-H) and had procrastinated. Making a heavy afghan in July is a world of no good.

My weekend has been busy, then lazy. Ups and downs.

I haven't been putting a lot of effort into the competition lately; I keep thinking the next week I'll be more 100%, and then I go on to phone in (literally, this time) my entries.

On the other hand, I may not be first, but by golly, I hit the first page. ;)

My heat died. Cracked boiler. So. It's running between 10F at night at 30F during the day, and our heat is a wood stove. No hot water until we buy a temporary electric one tomorrow. Heating system has to wait until we get quotes for installation. Currently this pretty much trumps everything else in my life. This was not an expense I was prepared for.

Life follows theme sometimes, I guess.

I was at the theater to see the James Bond movie, and you wouldn't believe the line up for that movie, Twilight. It was so crowded, Nixon had a hard time finding a "hole" to "find the door". Oy, poor dog.

Having a pretty good weekend, saw the James Bond movie last night, read all entries today (that's why I have time to kill in the Green Room!), voted, played Scrabble with Mom, finished all my Christmas cards... and all I have to do is braille the ones for my blind/vi/deafblind friends. I still need to read e-mails and try to do my Science homework, goal is to submit something this week. I still have my sewing homework to do before Thursday as well.

Twilight - I saw today, too. I was very excited about Carter Burwel's score (I might have misspelled his name) as he's one of my favorite composers. I thought the scenes were excellent and one part even made me cry. My husband was embarrassed - he says he's sure he was one of two guys in the theater - and when I cried, the girls next to me started whispering to each other about "that lady crying". heh

I don't care though. It was good crying. I love being moved to tears. :D

My weekend has been great! I saw Twilight with my husband this afternoon while his cousin babysat. And we finished wrapping Christmas presents, too. Greg is going to be off work all of next week, too, so we'll have Monday - Wednesday together at home. I'm really looking forward to catching up on cleaning and things like that which seem to fall to the back burner when taking care of Anya every day single handedly while Greg's at work.

Really great weekend so far. I think that I got over excited at the theater, though. So many people and so much stimulous. I don't know how people go out so much without getting over-stimulated. Maybe I need practice?

Nice that you'll be able to spend lots of time with Greg! I'm taking the week after Christmas off. It will work out to be a week and a half away from work! This is a good thing!

Tonight was our worst wrestling show ever.

One of our wrestlers (and best friends) got hurt tonight. He was doing a top rope move and wasn't caught by the other wrestler correctly. He landed on his head/neck and had to be taken to the hospital for tests and x-rays. Please keep Brandon in your thoughts. (http://diamondwrestling.com/bios/graver.php)

Also at the show were a dislocated wrist and a sprained ankle. WTF?! We don't have any accidents until the company is about to end?! Gah...

Just got the info: Brandon tore something inside his ear (not the eardrum). He also has a hairline fracture in the base of his skull. Will heal without surgery, but he won't be able to wrestle until it heals. He'll be in the hospital till Monday. (We're going to visit tomorrow.)
