Good afternoon!

When I woke up this morning I noticed that the clock on my computer was an hour off from the one on my cell phone. About a half hour later I had a conversation with my mother who asked me if I had changed the time on my clock yet to reflect the end of day light savings time.

I said no, but then figured that my clock had just changed automatically.

It wasn't until a few minutes ago, when I talked to someone else that I checked and sure enough the time *has not yet changed*!!!!

So I've gone through my day, up until this point, being an hour off from the actual time!!!

Apparently it's going to be one of *those* days!!!

Make sure that you aren't off on the time left to vote for your favorites: http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/192104.html

These polls are tight and anything can, and probably will, happen!! So make sure to cast a vote for your favorite entries and *let other people know* if you see an entry not getting the support you think it should! Word of mouth can make or break someone's chances.

***

So how are you guys doing? Done anything fun this weekend? Been confused by a time change that didn't actually happen?

First? (Yay!)

I think I just assume that my computer/cell phone will update automatically to tell me when the time changes. Or enough people will post about it to LJ that I won't have to pay more attention than reading my friends page. :-)

I've spent most of the weekend codding... I was supposed to have a whole other week before investors would be looking at the site I'm working on, and now they want to see it Tuesday.

I've stopped for LJ Idol breaks though and voted 2 of the 5 tribes.

4th maybe?

The time did change in our part of the world (UK) though I am still confused and a number of our clocks are still showing BST rather than GMT.

It mean I put on dinner an hour early..

oh yeah, and I moved my Scarlett Macaw's favorite toy to the other side of her cage, she has been going nuts all day trying to punish it for being the wrong place.

It is not this weekend, that is all I really know because my daughter gets very excited about DLST and tells me a million times on the Friday before so she won't be off by an hour going to school on Monday and she hasn't said anything so I know it's not now.

My husband's birthday is November 2, so he's looking forward to having a 25 hour birthday, so the time change on his computer didn't confuse us other than my husband being like oh noes! What if my 25 hour birthday has been canceled?

Doing well, done a lot of fun things including shopping, watching a movie, playing scrabble, terrorizing my daughter with a gigantic stuffed hippo, cooking, and other things of that nature.

I finally mastered Chinese-restaurant style fried rice which I'm proud of.

The only gripe about my weekend is that I've had a dull headache (allergies perhaps?) and that I have been wanting to read more this weekend than I've gotten read.

OH, damn you, daylight savings time! It's messed with my head on too many occasions...from getting up to go to church an hour early when I was a kid, to not realizing that Indiana doesn't change or some stuff like that, driving from Cincinnati, and ending up at a bar 2 hours before the opening band instead of the one hour that we had planned on. It turned out okay since we were the only young girls there at that time and got lotsa free drinks from the old dude there. We were seeing a band called "Johnny Socko" and when the lead singer stopped by to say hi, the old dude, was like, "Hey man! Are you Johnny? These gals love you!".

I love random memories.

I went to college in one of the corners of Indiana where they do observe daylight savings time. In the winter you had to remember if you drove more than 30 minutes north it was automatically an hour later. Caught me more than once.

Fifteenth! YAY!

I'm at work. On my day off. Because I need to catch up. Because I've been in the GREEN ROOM too much, so, what am I doing?

::shakes head::

I'm hopeless!

I believe we get to move the clocks back next weekend...

and our body..takes 1-3 weeks to adjust to the time change...

so it'll be fun...

I don't want it to adjust... if now I am supposed to wake up at 7:00 and really wake up more like 7:20 then with the time change I'll wake up more like 6:20 and that seems like it would be positive.

Realistically, nothing I do follows any sort of circadian rhythm at all and so I just go to bed when I'm tired and get up when I have to. So I suppose it doesn't matter.

What a complete time waster that was. I could have pulled over, turned on my laptop, logged in and sent an email faster than it took me to type that little bugger out on the phone.

Yay, it's a low pain day! Either the front moved on or my medications are finally getting up to therapeutic levels. I don't care, it means I don't cry when someone simply brushes my skin.

Fun things: Saturday was spent celebrating a friend's birthday with a bookstore stroll, Chinese, and watching DVDs on our wide screen television set. We tortured my husband with Bravestarr, bored me to death with Iron Man, and then laughed our asses off at Brisco County Junior. Somewhere in there Wal-Mart pizza was had (I swear they put crack in those things, but they're the best take and bake pizza I've ever had).

Today we're going grocery shopping, furnishing the guest room, getting a haircut, and cooking up the next two weeks' worth of meals.

I have a crock pot turkey soup simmering and the entire house smells like autumn.

Landlord is here working on the hall floor. I've been cleaning more stuff out of my bedroom. It is very loud in here.

Also waiting for my sister to decide she is going to show up to get the couch and other items I'm giving her for her new place that I no longer need here.

Also, am very glad I am not hung over as it the noise in here is crazy loud.

Done reading and voting?? Please take a look at my Home Game Entry (http://tigrkittn.livejournal.com/8037.html)?? It hasn't gotten a lot of love this week... :(

Today husby and I went out to breakfast and then went looking for stuff for his Halloween costume and accidentally found the perfect Captain Jack (Harkness, not Sparrow) coat instead!! And we got it! We also found the first three seasons of Buffy on DVD at the used bookstore (did not buy, woe!) and a set of books he's wanted forever (did not buy, more woe!). We went to buy me some knitting needles and found a million household things we wanted and didn't get... I think if we'd gotten everything we wanted today we'd have spent about five hundred dollars *LOL* We are too good at shopping!

I hope everyone else is having a great Sunday too! I've got three Tribes read and voted, another dozen or so to read and I'll be done!

Me? I have been sick all wekend... Possible chest cold, already sneezing and blowing my nose like crazy, and googly eyes and headaches. Worse was Friday night with a nasty fever.

Slowly getting better... as I need to, as I have a job interview on Tuesday.
