Good morning, campers contestants and other assorted friends! How are you on what is here a very blustery Wednesday? Does it feel like it's almost time for Halloween yet? It sure does to me!

Speaking of spooky things, how about that whole Pick a player, any player thing that clauderainsrm has going on this week? Scary, isn't it? Risky, isn't it? A creepy kind of fun, isn't it? Don't forget to submit the player you want to represent you for whatever he has planned, and stay tuned for Friday, which is when you'll find out exactly what kind of doom you've signed someone up for!

Still frightening, but not as much so is the dreaded OPEN TOPIC entry that you need to write for this week. Are you already done? No? Have any ideas? I'm still trepidatious about what I've chosen to do for LJI entry (not up yet). I need more thumbs ups. :(

I found this old notebook of mine from 2001. Covered in poetry. Some of these poems have spot illios by fairly known indie comix artists. The poems are pretty bad, really silly... stream of conciouness stuff. The illios rule though and there's stories behind me getting them.

Does this sound like a good entry idea?

Since the votes are not counted until the deadline, there is not technical reason that I know of why you can't change your vote.

On the other hand, the open topic gave me a chance to do something different. I wasn't telling a story or anecdote. I wasn't giving an opinion. I was just sharing some of myself. And, though difficult, it was fun to do.

Happy Wednesday. I have a cold. Eurgh. *blows nose into tissue* Also, this week is recycling week, and today there's a huge display in front of the student center showing how much trash with recycling and how much recycling with trash we throw out. It's pretty eye-opening. People still don't get it.

Taking cat to the see the vet in another half hour..

several weeks ago he had what appeared to be a bad ass uti infection...vet had him all weekend during the weekend and he contracted a respiratory infection.

Now that the respiratory infection cleared up..

UTI infection's back...

when they did the urinalysis..-they didn't find anything..

I guess they'll have to do an ultrasound now..:(

I meant to post this earlier today, but I was busy sweating to DDR (my daily workout). I thought several of you might be interested in the writing contest my literary magazine is running. The deadline is October 31. There's a $100 top prize for winners in two categories: poetry and fiction. There's a $5 entry fee (which helps offset the prize money).
