Hello there and welcome to this week’s poll in which we determine who will be eliminated and who will have the same sort of satisfaction of a job well done as if they had been cooking for an orphanage!*G*

There’s a bit of a twist this time around though. It is our first general *community only* poll. This means you have to actually have to join the community to vote! It’s also the first one posted by n_decisive so be gentle!*g*

This is also a special Sigrid’s Birthday poll. Ok, maybe it’s not, but I wanted to mention her birthday again!!!

The usual rules apply: Vote for as many or few of your favorite entries as you feel like supporting. The person with the fewest votes in each tribe will be eliminated.

Unfortunately the following did not turn in entries this week and are leaving us before the poll even opens:

I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out there were a couple people that I thought were going to go quite far in there. . . I’m sorry to see you guys go and I hope everything is ok, and that we still get to see you around.

My inner sociologist will be very intrigued by my results this week, since I've been trimming people off what LJ calls a "Friendslist" and I call a reading list, and I'm planning to NOT post a "Vote For Me" post.

I've voted in two tribes.... I'll hit the other two tribes later, I really should get some work done yet today.

I was just thinking about voting and realizing the further you are from voting for half of the people the value your vote has one way or the other.

Statistically, if you vote for all but 2 people it does more damage to those two people by just raising the bar for everyone else evenly. Conversely if you only vote for 2 people then it gives those two a boost. So, really, for your vote to count most you should either vote for a whole lot of people in a tribe or very few. Voting for about half dilutes your vote.

Maybe I'm not the first to have this realization, but it just hit me and I thought I'd share.

What software do you use to record it? I have a Sony Digital Voice Recorder I use to dictate most of my entries before I type them out. It serves as my rough draft, so if I did an audio post I'd have to rerecord them. Also, how do you typically upload your audo? Just by using the LJ tool, or do you embed it?
