I took my puppies to the vet last night. I have said that I have a reverse Jack and Mrs. Sprat situation with them...Scout's too heavy and Bess is so tiny that I'm scared to pick her up at times! Scout now as an appetite suppressant to take, while Besita got the all clear to eat whatever she wants. Poor Scout- I feel for him. We're both on diets and Bess can eat whatever the heck she wants. Life is cruel...

Well, I must be off to an appointment. I'll be back in two hours- why not see how fat you can make the threads while I'm gone? Chatting is calorie free!

Oh- and I'll be running around doing dishes and stuff. Mom wants me to do her favors that way. Why do I find myself resenting that today? It's like I *really* don't want to do *anything* you ask me to do.... And it's only because *she* asked me.

Ug... I don't know where it's coming from! But it's like... I have my own stuff to do- and you want me to do yours, too? I am cat, hear me growl! (despite being the phoenix, too. :])

I finally started reading and will probably do a bunch today.

So far there has not been a misfire in the bunch and I feel better than I did before I started reading which feels nice.

My dogs back home are similar. The boy weighs a whopping 10 lbs and the girl only 4 lbs...(Chihuahuas :D)

We have to feed each of ours individually from different diets because they all have different requirements. The working pup gets extra because she takes a lot of weight off doing things for me. The lab/shepherd we have to watch because he gets fat easily. The cuddler has a special diet because his stomach is picky. The hound is hyperactive and runs off a lot of weight so we have to supplement hers.

I overslept and missed breakfast. My plans of a mint and cilantro frittata with four cheeses were replaced by snooze time with a kitty draped across my calves. While pleasant, it just doesn't go the distance like a breakfast does.

2 PM (lunch) seems so far away.

I'm disappointed. I've been thinking it's Friday forever because the husband being home messed up my routine.

I've been reading along, so I'm up to date with entries. It's easier for me to read a few at random intervals than trying to read them all at once.

This morning I discovered that my elderly cat is using the toliet in the guest bathroom as a bath tub. Really. I've never had one do this before so I'm a bit puzzled but I'm glad I didn't use any harsh cleaners in there.

We were up until 4 this morning categorizing 14 bags of clothing for donation (for those of you not "in the know", this is mostly my mother's stuff. She died last December).

I ended up keeping a couple of sweaters she hardly wore as well as two of her shirts which still hold her scent. I've now got to find a bag big enough to contain them.

The scary thing is, there's more up in the attic. I just barely grazed it this time around :shudder:

I'll be curled up here in the corner if anyone needs me.

Coming up with an entry about bliss, though, is tougher. Not that I don't know what to write about, but finding the right groove to write in when Life is anything BUT blissful at the moment... that's the problem.

I did make it to work today and I actually wrote my LJ entry after sitting on it for a few days. Been meaning to write that story for a long time, glad I had the opportunity.
