It's really appropriate that this week is about a moment of bliss, because no matter how many times I see him live there's always something about a Jonathan Richman show that completely removes you from the rest of the world for awhile.

Last night was wonderful.

I haven't been able to read many yet. I haven't even read most of the ones onmy friends list yet, because work has been stressful, and I don't want where I read an entry to influence my perception of the entry itself.

So I'm predicting a reading weekend, but we're expecting rain, so that will be good.

Woot! Forget First - I made the first page!!

Since I just posted last night - at 3:00 a.m. like a crazy person - I haven't read hardly any entries yet, boo.

But, we are all germy messes at my house, I'm coughing, my son's coughing, my daughter is going ot the doctor today for an ear infection...My husband, he's just fine. Last night he laughed at us for our "puny immune systems." If there was a karma policeman running around he'd come down with a case of explosive diarrhea today or something equally unpleasant for chuckling at our misery!!

Other than that, today's my 10 hour work day, so I will be in my office and sniffling from noon to 10 p.m If you have any book requests...you know where to find me. But please bring tissues for me, and a germ mask for you!

Why must my plane be leaving so early? I do not do mornings, oh no I do not.

I'm struck by the number of people who say their blissful moment depended on another person. I suppose in my world of Being Divorced I put a lot of credence in the idea that your happiness needs to be internal to yourself, because if it comes from outside you may one day be without it.

But I realize that's all fatalistic and depressing for a morning-thought! I'm very glad that love can fill people's hearts and bring such joy.

Lately there are two songs...All Summer Long (Kid Rock) I cannot for the bloody life of me get that out of my head. Claudia's horribly addicted to that "Bartender Song" that's always playing on satellite radio - we can't hear the lyrics really well but it seems funny...

I love the Kid Rock song ... and I can't decide if it's because of the lyrics, or because I love Kid Rock, or because I love Werewolves of London. It's a delicious mashup of the three. :D

I've only been awake for one hour and I've already...

- spot cleaned ashirt that my 7 year old girlie, Jimi, insisted on wearing

-threw a poop covered baby in the bathtub and stripped her sheets after finding that she took the diaper off during the night and somehow shimmied it and it's contents out of the leg of her onesie.

-was yelled at because I didn't throw my SO's socks in the dryer...excuse me, the RIGHT socks, that is. So he haD to wear sub-par socks to work.

-cleaned up a milk and it's broken glass because SO was so pissed about the socks that he was being careless and thought he could shimmy a stack of papers from under it.

-got a crappy comment from a good, good friend who is being totally hypocritical but I'm not bringing up that point. I don't have the energy.

-fought with Jimi for wanting to stand in the rain instead of on the porch.

-dragged Jimi back onto the porch, kicking and screaming, while other children looked on.

-received a call from the Rebublican National Party.

Man, I wish I could go back to bed, but it's time for the baby to eat. She's getting cereal. That's it. Cereal.

Good morning!

What's been striking my fancy lately? Pumpkin spice coffee. The nice thing about it is that it doesn't have that funny aftertaste some flavored coffees have. The spices aren't overly strong. And it's pumpkin! A very nice mellow pumpkin! I adore pumpkin!

Our network here at the house was on the fritz yesterday. So far we've determined it's a Comcast thing. I started reading entries last night after posting mine and couldn't do it :grumble: It it starts acting up again, they will be getting The Phone Call, if you know what I mean.

Today's plans? The donation truck is coming tomorrow and I'm nowhere near finished with what I want to donate!

I'm still sick! This is crazy. This thing won't release me from its clutches. Called the doc and they say it's a virus going around so it has to work itself out. I guess it lasts for about 10 days. I'm on my 7th. Groan!
The only positive thing is that I get GR time! It's a heck of a way to get time to chat though.

I am full of constant craving for dumplings, steamed pork puns, shumai, won tons, etc. It is all I can think about. Why is there no dim sum on a Tuesday?!?! *cries* All I want more than anything is a steamed pork bun.
