Today has started out with me being shaken awake having fallen asleep on the bus. Fortunately I have someone on the same bus who works at the same company!

5 people are going to be leaving us today. Make sure it's not one of your favorites!!! (Well ok, it's always going to be someone's favorite. But you know what I mean.)

There are been a few bumps and scrapes in the first week of Idol but it's nothing that won't shake itself out one way or another in time, the same way it always does.

For the people toward the bottom this time - always remember this is a marathon not a sprint. "Not last" is the goal until the end. People can and have had slow starts and done very, very well by keeping up a good attitude and just writing some damn good entries.

Today's my first day of freedom. Went to work yesterday and left my letter of resignation. (Also did payroll while I was there so that I was sure to get my check on time.)

Tonight John and I are going to the Ravens/Steelers MNF game! You know those crazy people up in the nosebleed section? Yeah, we're ABOVE the nosebleeds. On the tippy-top railing of the closed endzone. *hopes for no rain*

The five puppies I'm fostering went through the whole night without messing their cage. That makes today a momentous day, as we've had them over a week now, and this is the first time.

Granted, we had to get up at 2 AM to let them out once, but we've been doing that every night until now and they've still made a mess.

Ok I'm a little confused. I remember reading that the last *two* people in each tribe will be out. I guess something has changed? I think it was because, understandably, in the first entry, there were a lot of people who didn't make the deadline. So that means only one from each tribe will be voted out?

I know there will be some last minute voting, but I think I'm KIND of safe and I can make it! So far, my goal has been making it to the second stage, so I really want to get there!

It's Monday, I am at work. The gas crisis rages on in Georgia. Like the old adage about glasses being half empty or half full, I am trying to remember my gas tank is 1/4 full - but that also makes it 3/4 EMPTY!! When you can't find a station with gas and the ones that do have gas only let you get $20 at a time...it's a little stressful. And the proverbial "they" are saying this could go on for two weeks!

I am wondering how long before my boss, who lives 90 minutes from here, calls to say she won't be in.

When she does...it's party time! Well, it's hang out on LJ and Facebook time anyway. I've got a credenza full of candy and eight hours to kill! Who wants a sugar rush??

Curious: Writing Entry Tools

One of the things I am always interested in is how people actually "get the job done."

There are so many ways to write an entry and then post it (and I am not talking about the hardest part - thinking).

I am curious... how do you get your writing from your head into your journal?

I have Semagic for Windows installed, and that is how I generally post all of my entries. However, much of what I write is either with pen-and-paper, or using google-docs because of the portability.

I usually write my drafts in Notebook. Then I cut/paste it into a Word doc, edit it, then post it.

Anyway, good morning everyone! I'm going to be scarce for a bit today. I've got my first "What Are We Going To Do With Her?" with my endocronologist in a couple of hours. Which means I get to donate a zillion vials of blood...AGAIN.

My calcium level is still low -- hence the "what are we going to do with her?" I've been on a heavy duty dose of supplements all weekend and I haven't noticed any real difference :(
