Good morning and welcome to Week 1! Which means the first official topic will be coming soon. Hope you're ready. Heck, I hope *I'm* ready!*G*

Before that though, we need to get through Week 0: make sure that you post the link your introduction entry: http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/176456.html by Monday September 22nd at noon EST. Have you linked yours yet? If you don't do it by the deadline then you won't be playing this season! So hurry up!! (Almost everyone *has* at this point, but there are, as usual, some slackers!*g*)

Speaking of the introductions: Have you been reading them over the weekend? Any interesting ones you want to point out to make sure other people have read it as well? The best way to get people's attention is by word of mouth, so if you read something worthwhile make sure to take the time to (1) let the writer know and (2) to let other people know.

There've been a lot of great introductions, but like a dork I forgot to take note of the ones that stood out. I've now made a spreadsheet so I can take note of all topic posts that I think should be reccomended, though.

Out of curiosity: how many sign-ups were there? I think I counted 200 even (or rather, counted 29 "duplicate" posts in the sign-ups), but I was doing several things at once and may have lost count, and I wasn't sure how it counted some of the replies that I think may be deleted replies.

I'm already batting 1.000. Didn't get to work until almost 8:30 because Mr. MinPin decided that it would be fun to poop ALL OVER THE FLOOR. And his mommy didn't notice it, therefore walking all through it and then tracking it THROUGH THE ENTIRE DOWNSTAIRS. Mulligan, plzkthx.

Steelers lost. I don't want to talk about it. Must focus on my fantasy team now. Philip Rivers MUST have a good game tonight. Oy.

And in other news, I get to meet the wonderful Spydielives on Thursday. Not sure if we're having lunch or dinner yet, but we'll take pics. That's one of the best parts of Idol: you get to know people through their entries, so you WANT to meet your new friends IRL! :^)

clauderainsrm can be very tricky as to when he posts new topics. My best advice to you is to keep an eye on the deadline for the last one; it's usually within a few hours of that.

So I expect that the Week 1 topic will be posted within one to three hours after noon Eastern time today.

Of course, now that I've said that, clauderainsrm will prove me wrong.

I've read some amazing intros...found some awesome journals to read, and generally have been roaming about following little LJ's.

Favorites? I liked superhappytime's, but his particular brand of sarcasm has always appealed to me. Also, java_fiend, thenodrin, oberonia...and there are many more. Ack...should have made a chart. >.<
