Seriously I said I was waiting for three things. Two of them have now happened. (Can't announce what the second one was yet, because it was actually *the last* step and wouldn't make much sense if I revealed it before the second.) There's a good chance that second will happen this weekend.

Not going to give out details but it *might* involve puppies and/or pony rides!

In the meantime - what do *you* have planned for this weekend?

- Dragging my man out for a date tonight, although we're both skint.
- The wee guy & I are joining his gran, granda' & uncle for dinner at a seafood restaurant up by Loch Fyne tomorrow
- Man & I having everyone round for booze, Wii & no doubt YouTube madness tomorrow night (to combat skintness).

well tonight I'm meeting up with some friends -- the good part is that I get to front...there aren't many friends of Carrie's I can do this with.

Plus I recently found out that one of them really is a multiple - interesting..right under our noses (well we've suspected it for a while with V). But anyways V wants to meet me I guess and another friend's going to join us. The other friend knows about us (I've fronted around her before).

Interesting bit is that V doesn't want our other friend to know about her being multiple (I have a feeling she kind of suspects it anyways and she'll put two and two together)

But I'm excited about tonight (I'll do some beer drinking too).

Rest of the weekend -- Carrie & Claudia will be celebrating their 9th anniversary by going to macaroni grill (I think that's first restaurant they've been to together) and whatever else follows... :)

This weekend? Sleeping in, painting, laundry, and on Sunday a cook-out at our place with the local Sci-Fi group. We get to "break in" our new and improved deck, yay! =)

Found out this week that a group of my friends, John, and I are going to Niagara Falls in early November. Just for a weekend, but I'll get to cross off a few of my 101 in 1001! (Play the slots, go on a road trip, possibly more.)

I'm undergoing a thyroidectomy early Monday morning. It's a relatively simple operation with a very high success rate, but in my case there are a couple of factors which I've been told may make the operation a little tricky. I'll be off work until I get the OK to return. Between that and the 148 hours of vacation/sick time/holiday I need to get rid of before Thanksgiving, I have the feeling I'll be a fixture in here ;)

Other than that, I'm working all weekend. Then again, when do I not work all weekend?

OK, wow, it's the weekend already?

- Farmer's market tomorrow morning (this is a summer tradition for my family! We go to the market and if we're really hungry we eat breakfast at a place on the plaza, otherwise we go home and eat what we bought)
- going to a cookout at a good friend's house tomorrow afternoon
- maybe hopefully going to the MD Renn fest on Sunday. Or, possibly, seeing my MIL for the afternoon because she is leaving for France next week. But I'd really rather go to the Renn Fest.

Meanwhile, right now, my 2-year-old and I are sitting on the sofa together. He's eating an apple and watching Sesame Street. I just noticed that he has a great ear for voices. Even if he's watching the screen and sees one muppet, he will call out the name of the muppet that he is most familiar with who has the same muppeteer. Pretty cool.

I was at a baby shower last weekend, plus I have one NEXT weekend. Frankly, I dislike going to showers. The games just irritate me, and the people who plan them always have them in the afternoons on your day off.

My weekend plans involve finding the answer to the question that plagues every mother (How in the world do I manage my time without going insane?) and figuring out a way to teach my 15 month old that her new "trick" of biting people instead of kissing them is NOT OKAY.

Just found out that my boss is leaving for Ireland from the 17th - 30th. ZOMG. And salesman will be in Harrisburg from the 17-25th. So it will be me and engineer. OH YEAH!!! That makes me sooo happy. That means I'll get my work done!
