Welcome to August! Less than a month until September, the official start of LJ_Idol Season Five! *starts prodding Gary to start the new season early*
As some of you may know, I love music. I'll sing until my throat hurts. In fact, when I had to work late on Thursday, I was singing my lungs out. Good thing no one else was at work!
So tell the Wok Music Master: What is your favorite song? What lyrics touch you the most? What song can you absolutely not stand? Any requests?!

Being I am in a not so happy mood, it's either Living on a Roll and Prayer or Making Love Like Geek by Hot Waffles which is a band that plays at one of the sci fi cons that I go to. It's geeky, it's cheesy and makes me feel better.

Date: 2008-08-11 07:21 pm (UTC)My music taste changes depending on my mood, the time of day, and the weather. At the moment, I can't get enough of Jason Mraz. I've always had a great big music crush on him because he has really good melodies and beautiful, meaningful lyrics. Also, he's adorable.
Right now, I have two of his songs playing on a loop on my iPod: 0% Interest (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwt6jSqowz0) and Galaxy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW7OXg5g2eU).
I'm excited for the start of LJ Idol. Not so much looking forward to fall. This'll be the first time ever I don't return to school and that's intimidating. I'm turning into a grown up.

I confess -- I love disco. I've got maybe 4 or 5 CDs I ripped from my iTunes list. I'll agree a lot of it is cheesy, but it makes me want to move...and DANCE!

Right now my favorite song is Our Last Summer by Abba, off the Mamma Mia soundtrack. I've been to see the movie twice, now, and am planning on going a third time late at night, just so my friends and I can sing, loudly, without too many people having to listen to us. :-)
I don't have any specific lyrics that I like. As long as they remind me of someone or a time in my life, or are romantic, I like them.
Before I go, I have to say this. What? No Cheetos and Pepsi? *g* Where's
