Green Room - Week 25 - Day 5
May. 2nd, 2008 07:59 amGood morning!
I have some errands to run today, so I'm actually home! Which means of course the phone just woke me up and I figured that I might as well get online and see what was going on.
So, what IS going on?
How are you today - and more importantly, where did you hide the bodies?

kithan from Vegas (which I'm assuming she's picking up between the hookers and the booze)just drop her a line at hockeykit@gmail.com. Go ahead and drop her a line and force her to send out 800+ post cards!!!*G*

Date: 2008-05-02 12:11 pm (UTC)I ended up letting her sleep with me so I could keep an eye on her.
She is still running a fever this morning but not as high as last nights (the kind of fever that makes a parent say if it doesn't come down or goes up another degree we are off to the hospital).
So today is going to be all about the Caroline.

Date: 2008-05-02 12:17 pm (UTC)If we could do anything, you would let us know, right? Send her funny jokes, or just virtual postcards? I remember when I was young, and sick, I *hated* to have to stay in bed.
(And *hugs* for you too)

Date: 2008-05-02 12:15 pm (UTC)You already know where I hid the bodies. We talked about this last week.
I am much calmer than I was yesterday. Everyone who knows how yesterday could have gone? Breath a sigh of relief. It seems to have passed.

Date: 2008-05-02 12:43 pm (UTC)What the hecks going on with Mariah Carey? We all know she has emotional problems, and can't make good decisions on her own. So how did her handlers let her marry some guy she's known for a month and NOT sign a pre-nup?
no subject
Date: 2008-05-02 01:17 pm (UTC)I could've sworn she said she'd never marry again after her horror show of a marriage to Tommy Mottola.
The nasty side of me thinks "oh, her handlers and the guy must have some agreement" and will try to fleece her. I'm praying that's not the case because I really hate seeing people go through that.

Date: 2008-05-02 01:10 pm (UTC)Yeah - we tell people we've got groundhogs, but really that big ol' hole is just where the body parts get stuffed, LOL.
But it's Friday, and there's cake (I made it, from a mix - French Vanilla with whipped buttercream frosting), so life is good!

Not much on the agenda today. I'm having a pedicure in 45 minutes, but after that, I shall go wherever the wind takes me...

Date: 2008-05-02 01:23 pm (UTC)And my comment settings have been working for a couple days now. Woohoo!
I have today off. It's cloudy and rainy so a good day to stay tucked indoors and listen to either good music or my book.

Date: 2008-05-02 01:46 pm (UTC)I'm just kidding. I don't have a basement.
Anyhow, this weekend is for me and the kid. Tonight I'm taking her out to pick up a new game for her DS, tomorrow we're going to see Iron Man (and I know she'll roll her eyes at my fawning over Robert Downey Jr.), and Sunday we're going to the Sakura Matsuri (cherry blossom festival) at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. My new camera is going to get another workout.

Date: 2008-05-02 01:58 pm (UTC)But, since you dropped by, you simply must take some tomatoes with you! We've had the most wonderful success with the garden this year!
Secret? No secret....just the marvelous mulch we've been mixing up in the wood chipper!
*polite smile that doesn't quite reach my eyes*

Date: 2008-05-02 02:44 pm (UTC)You say "bodies", I say "groceries".
Looking around my kitchen, I'm more hidden by
bodiesgroceries than I am hiding them. Did a big haul last night. As to how I am, it continues chilly and damp here, which wreaks havoc with my bones and muscles, but is perfect mood-setting weather for Blog Stoker's DRACULA - the preamble and background (http://norda.livejournal.com/444810.html) was posted last night, and the first entry proper will be tomorrow.
C'mon over, Idolers!

Date: 2008-05-02 08:00 pm (UTC)I adore Dracula.
Not vampires in general really, but Dracula in particular. I even rather enjoyed the Bram Stoker's Dracula movie that came out in the early 90's.
Szyzgy is fascinating too! We almost chose that as the name for our guild city in an MMO my husband and I are playing. We are "The Darkest Hour" and liked the celestial imagery.

Also, a huge thunderstorm is coming. Some people have tornadoes. I feel a little guilty about being happy for so much storming. I hope it storms all day, because I will be HOME to enjoy it.

Date: 2008-05-02 04:57 pm (UTC)Today we are spreading grass seed and ripping out all of the damn dandelion plants from the yard. Luckily we have a little city backyard so there won't be 24K dandelion plants when I'm done.
I have also figured out what I'm doing about my job situation. I'm going to work part-time until we go to the beach. I'm going to ask John to borrow money for while we're on the beach, then pay him back when I get a full-time job when we come back. So about 6 weeks with a part time job. I think I can handle that!
You know what I do with bodies? We have train tracks directly behind our backyard. Trains stop hourly. *grins*

Date: 2008-05-02 05:24 pm (UTC)Just got through with eating leftover brownies and ham&cream cheese pinwheels for lunch, after Life Group. I got up this morning at 6, baked brownies and pinwheels and printed checks to mail, before leaving to take Tigger to school. I finished my No Stones homework before Life Group, but left the checks at home, so I signed/stuffed/stamped those when I got home.
Next up: Cleaning the kitchen. I've got a surplus of SF TV to keep me company. :)

Date: 2008-05-02 07:57 pm (UTC)Spent three hours going to and from the vet for heart worm and flea control for the dogs.
Also took care of getting the one dog heart worm tested and he had his borditella updated.
As for the rest of today? Have no clue.
Oh yeah, waiting for a package. New toy. Excited about that. Grins!
