I knew this would be a sad week regardless. I knew it would be a close, coming down to the very end week...

As I've been doing I'm going to add some comments about these two later, but for now all I can say is that I really like them both a great deal, and they will be missed.

The two going this week are

gypsy_moon - I am so proud of you. I don't know what if anything that means, but I truly am. You did this season what you should have done in the last... although I do wish you had gone further, you have become a much better writer over the time that I've known you. I can only imagine what you will be like when it's time for next season. Btw - you now hold the record for the "biggest improvement" of veteran players as far as placing. imafarmgirl is still in this, so she might end up beating you, but for now it's all yours.*g*


and xo_kizzy_xo - I don't think I'm going to have too many people upset with me, and if I do *shrug*, then I do, when I say that you are the single most impressive contestant this season. With everything you have gone through and still able to keep such a positive energy. You are just plain impressive and thank you so much for playing this season.

and with that sad news, there's a bit of good. baxaphobia and angstzeit are now officially back in the competition as of now.

kizzy--wow. I am so thrilled that we met! You have so much talent and I do hope that you continue writing, be it home game or otherwise. I know you are going through a rough time, and I hope that your life does get easier soon. Now to plan my new england trip so that I can see you in person!

Second, don't think I'm going to disappear from here *grin* I didn't sign on last season and played the home game instead, so there's no reason why I can't continue doing that :)

Third, I can't begin to express how wonderful you guys are. I've made a lot of friends here, friends I hope to transfer to RL. That's been more important to me, believe it or not, than writing. You've all been helping me through what's probably the most difficult patch in my life thus far. I know reading/writing about grieving isn't a barrel of joy, but it's been necessary for my psyche. Therapy, if you will. I'm sure most of you already know that.

Kizzy, you have been through hell the last six months. That you kept writing and kept playing and continued to be a friend to everyone despite what you were dealing with speaks volumes about your character.

Every week it has been hard to see people leaving, but this week is extra hard!

Both gypsy_moon and xo_kizzy_xo were partners of mine earlier in the game, so seeing them leave is extra hard.

We worked together as a team of three, before gypsy_moon and I braved the wilds of Idol as a team of two.

You both helped me stay in the game a couple extra weeks, and for that, in addition to being there for me, I am very very grateful!

I am glad we will continue to keep in touch, as you are both truly wonderful friends!

I hope you will continue to play the Home Game, as I love your writing, and the energy and love that shines through in each entry!

Thank you, Gary. That means a lot to me. :) I'm very very very happy to have stuck it out this season. I swore to myself before I started that no matter how depressed I got or how hard it was, I would not quit this time. Although I never expected to last this long, so I surpassed my own expectations!!! :)
