Another weekend and another CLOSE poll!!!

While we are waiting to see what is going to happen next, I figured I'd repost the link to the Free Topic for last week because there's some really good stuff over there too:

So what are you guys up to this weekend?

edit to add completely cliched question that just got in my head and demanded that I ask it *kicks question out of head*: If you were stuck out in the middle of nowhere, with only one other person, which Idol contestant (of any of the 155 of this season) would you choose and why?

* Trying to find out everything I can about the "haunted summer of 1816", also known as The Year Without a Summer.

* Keeping my back uncoiled. Walking seems to have helped.

* Entering "new" CD titles on our Spoken Word and on our Music pages, and trying to get book reviews in the pipeline.

Hi!

Just got back from Perkins, overall though the weekend has went like this:
Friday night watch Dr.Who
Today, hit the Mall of America early for a little shopping, stop at a coffee shop at the mall, breakfast and McDonlad's then go to bellydancing class.
Then try and see Jet Li and Jackie Chan's new movie but someone didn't show up in time so we missed the last cheap show. So off to Perkins for dinner and now just watching some Star Wars, doing laundry and wasting alittle time online.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday

where I'm sitting it's not quite dinner time yet..

I'm getting hungry now...

Right now I'm making dinner -- chile-lime chicken burgers from Trader Joe's with chipolte fries. I'm so hungry I could eat my keyboard.

Eh...well, maybe not.

Gotta be up bright and early for work tomorrow, so it's going to be an early night.

I'd choose [livejournal.com profile] desert_rose71, as she'd be great company and might have some Aussie chocolate hidden in her pants or something. :)

I'd be careful with any chocolate that anyone pulls out of their pants! *giggling*

Ahhhh! You are just too funny! Thanks, again, for making me smile, hun!

I'll be careful not to let you know where any chocolate I offer you comes from, then. *g*

You're definitely my choice for someone to be stuck out in the middle of nowhere with too! It would be great fun, and I would definitely have chocolate with me, as I can't survive without it!! :-)

Evening/afternoon/morning! :-)

I have only just had my coffee and haven't been long out of bed, so have done absolutely nothing so far today. And I have a feeling that's how today is going to stay. :-)

Have a fun Saturday night/Sunday!

I am up to about 5'3 and 1/2. You?

In all seriousness, I've been a busy, busy bunny, working in Mr. MacGregor'sMY garden.

Hi,

Dinner time here. Eating pot stickers since nothing else sounds good.

Woke up today with a nasty bug. Sweating tonight so hopes this means the fever is going away.

Pole is way too small. Didn't take long to read all the entries so all I can do now is refresh refresh the rest of the weekend.

To pick one person would be very hard. Don't know who I would pick.

watching all the tv shows my parents enjoy watching, csi miami (a marathon no less!), ncis, top chef (had to watch the new episode twice because you know you miss stuff the first time through)

and i'm wondering if my email isn't working, or if no one feels like writing me back today?

Must be a nice weekend everywhere, as I'm not getting any e-mails either. It's really very sad! :-)

There's a comment for you, anyways. *g*

I feel loved too when I get personal e-mails and comments. :-)

That's very sad, isn't it.

Hi all! It was a totally great relaxing day. I spent most of it lounging by the pool (which is still covered) and enjoying he perfect day. I had music on and just relaxed and read periodically. It was great! Bruno made pizza for dinner and now I'm trying to find something to watch on TV. I looked at a movie but it was subtitled. Doesn't work since there is no braille for the subtitles. Oh well. Glad there is a GR to keep me occupied!

*blink* *blink*.. wait a minute.. am I on candid camera? Who gets 'Lost' in the middle of nowhere with 'only one other person'? Where's the camera? come on now.

Honestly now.. you need to go re-think the question and come back when you have something that is worth answering.

The camera belongs to that other person you are lost in the middle of nowhere with. :-)

The second person is always a photographer, sent out to record how you survive out there on your own, and what happens when craziness takes over. *g*

I'd choose whichever contestant had experience building homes/huts/shelters. Because seriously, I could learn to kill for food. And I can build a fire. Outside of that, I have zero clue about building shelter.

You could put together a lean to. Then maybe work up to a teepee or qonset type of hut. Given the materials and tools, these are fun to make (but more fun with a group...)

I'd choose [livejournal.com profile] kittenboo. I love her to pieces and we could have hot girlie time too! *grins*

*is all for the hot girlie time*..snerks... :)

It's one of those ethical questions...if you're on a cruise ship and the life raft only has room for two people, yourself and one person...who'd you choose??? Especially if you like so many folks on the cruise ship...

it's one I can't answer honestly

That is a tough question. Because that brings possibly saving someone's life into question rather than just if you were stranded who you'd choose to be stranded with if you could.

For my high school's senior superlatives, my friend Jack won "Person with whom you would most like to be stuck on a desert island." Apparently someone in a huge chorus class loudly suggested him because, "who else do you know who could survive out there?! He'd kill things and build a hut and a raft and probably a compass or something and you'd get off that island!"

I found it extremely amusing because everyone expected one of the popular sweethearts to win it.

Hey everyone!

I'm home from Pittsburgh, safe and sound with the exception of my voice, which I left somewhere on CMU campus. And I thought crepe myrtle was bad. Oi. I hate allergies. But my trip was awesome. I've written part of my trip report already, which might make no sense to some, but I think the joy of my weekend comes through.

Must be pretty nice all over the place. Not much talk going on in here.

I'm hungry, off to find some food. Anyone wanna come over and cook for me? Really have no energy to cook.

*falls over*

I thought I would peek in. I don't know if I will have a chance to read/vote tomorrow **pouts**

I will read eventually, but I might just have to vote for everyone, for appearances sake. Y'all deserve it at this point anyway.

If anyone sees Gary, would they tell him I had the chance to throw a rock through his window and didn't. Cause I am all about the *not* vandalism tonight.

Or something.

Anyway... I hope everyone had as wonderful a weekend as I had, and are looking forward to the upcoming week as much as I am (well, as soon as I have collapsed onto that really comfy looking bed).

And yes, more pictures coming, I promise! I finally have ACCESS! For two-point-five whole days!
