Good morning!  How are you all today?

I still have the plague, so I have called in sick.  I have my trusty friend NyQuil and he and I have become very close over the past 12 hours.  I expect we'll become even closer over the next 24.

clauderainsrm is at home this morning, but hopefully he'll be around this afternoon.

So, what's going on in your world?

I'm awake. I don't wanna be awake this early, but the kids are glad since it means they can go play outside. That big shiny thing in the sky? Wasn't supposed to be here until the end of the week. It's nice we're getting good weather and the kids can go out. It is so NOT NICE that it shines in my window after 7am and breaks my sleep. *sulks*

Oh, and for those who didn't know, the boyfriend and I had a HUGE fight yesterday. He can't stand the amount of time I spend online, so I am considering closing my myspace, live, and LJ accounts... =/ Will keep you posted on that.

I am working on a to-do list that is getting (in my head) longer as I cross things off it.

I am worrying about a friend or two (or twenty) who seem to have some rough times lately.

I am still prepping for my trip this week; long drives always need more effort than planes.

I am writing three different HG entries (two past prompts and the current one), hopefully to finish those up tonight.

I am NOT sniffling this morning (much) although I think that has more to do with the 40F weather (hello? where did my 75F go?) than anything else.

Today I have to take Stalin to the vet for a recheck of his ears.

I also have some household shopping that needs to be done.

And I am trying to figure out if I am going to see my buddy Neil this week or not since he is only at NYCC on Friday and that is the day I am not going.

I may or may not be going to a CBLDF function this Wednesday for Jeff Smith (creator of Bone).

I finished my taxes last night. After nearly making a very bad mistake, everything seems to have worked out great this year with no tears at all. Amazing. I now patiently await my miniature return ($200) which will, I hope, buy me some new clothes.

Right now, I am watching Sesame Street with the kiddo. They are talking about Energy, of which I have none. Hah.

I'm in Louisville for the day, so Flar can work in his office here. I brought a week's worth of mail to sort, and I'm planning to work on Quicken and bills today.

It's a gorgeous, cool, spring day here. The drive was very nice in Flar's big luxury car.

By the way, I meant to tell you all that I will be in Pittsburgh for CMU Carnival this weekend starting on Thursday at VeryLate. If there is anyone in the general vacinity who would like to come out of the woodwork to meet a chite and her family, send me a message and let me know. (pokes Wok. pokes Wok again. Screw it, plans a Wok-napping)

So, I just dropped the kiddos at the pre-school by the library for the first time. Peanut looked a little nervous - and said "I think I am a little scared, Mommy" but when I peeked out the back door just now she was playing on the swings - riding hers sideways like a saddle, lol.

Baby-man on the other hand, he seemed o.k. when he saw the big cars but as soon as I made the moves to leave he backed up to me and didn't want to let go. I had to hand him to his teacher, and he was howling, and tell him goodbye and just walk out. I knew staying would make it worse, and I was about a 1/2 second from crying myself. I couldn't see him on the playground which doesn't help.

I managed to make it back to the library and go hide in the storytime room to have my tears in private. I called my husband - he's on a tour for work and I got his voicemail, then I tried my mom in FLA, and she is at work so I got her voicemail too. They were both treated to snuffly messages from me.

My heart aches right now. I have a pile of work to do but I can't focus enough to go do it because I am so sad. I need some sugar to sedate myself, but all I could find in my pantry here were four, nasty dried out gummy dinosaurs. I ate them anyway.

It's gorgeous out there! Relatively easy day at work for once :)

SO is trying to get his papers in order. It's best that I go elsewhere. I'm tempted to go on a long walk with my camera and see what happens.

Tomorrow looks to be 68F and sunny tomorrow. Even though I am supposed to be doing other stuff, I think I am going to take the train over to one of the parks and go for a walk...
