Green Room - Week 20 - Day 5
Mar. 28th, 2008 07:40 amGood morning.
I actually have one of the five Gatekeeper votes in. . . which means the current standings are. . .
Oh come on, you didn't think I was going to actually tell you did you????
But since people keep asking, the 5th Gatekeeper is indeed
chite's Coke Zero can.*G* Figured it would have a unique perspective on the entries. "What does this mean to me, a can?"
***
So what are your plans for the weekend? Other than writing on THE FREE TOPIC at http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/137235.html and telling the world who your favorite LJ USER is of course!!

Date: 2008-03-28 11:49 am (UTC)I want to relax this weekend! Which.... won't be happening. This laundry is all about the laundry, the Enter the Haggis concert, and tiling the backsplash in the downstairs kitchen. Oh, and screencapping and iconning more of Torchwood, because that is happiness and zen love.

I already wrote the open topic so there.
NOT FAIR! I look away for a second, and miss out on being first to post :-)
Date: 2008-03-28 12:03 pm (UTC)I've had a fun day buying two+ pounds of chocolate to send to
I hope you aren't on a diet, Amy! *g*
Should I say what I bought, or keep it a surprise? :-)
Have a great Friday everyone!
Re: NOT FAIR! I look away for a second, and miss out on being first to post :-)
Date: 2008-03-28 01:02 pm (UTC)Surprise me. Unless you want to make everyone else drool.
I almost posted a picture of what is in your box, but that would make everyone else cry.

Date: 2008-03-28 12:50 pm (UTC)My Coke 0 can has a mind of its own :)
Today...I'm working some. But mostly running errands and spending time with the husband, who is HOME! woohoo!
One of our errands will include, of course, heading to BJ's for another extremely large pack of Coke 0.
Of course.

Date: 2008-03-28 01:02 pm (UTC)(actually if I'd been scheduled off Sunday too, that really would've blown my mind!)
So I'm trying to scrounge some last-minute tickets to either an improv show or comedy club downtown. We've got a couple of regional theatre companies that offer last-minute discount tickets. Failing that, there are a bunch of new restaurants in the area. Failing that, there's always the movies.
In other words, SO and I need to have a date night. Badly.

Date: 2008-03-28 01:45 pm (UTC)We're driving down to Gatlinburg, TN after I get off work this evening, and will be there until sometime Sunday. We're going to Dollywood! But we'll have hubby's laptop with us, so I can still keep up with LJ and play all of my Scrabulous games, LOL!
Fortunately, I packed my bag last night, so as soon as I get home from work, we pack up Knight's car and OFF we go - yay!
At least it'll be a nice distraction from waiting on all of the Gatekeepers of the Apocalypse to make up their minds... *groan*

Any other Sweeney Todd fans?
Date: 2008-03-28 02:14 pm (UTC)So... I am curious, while I sit here...
Are there any other fans of the show (or the movie version)? Favorite scene? If we were going to cast LJI contestants, who gets to play which role, and why?
Re: Any other Sweeney Todd fans?
Date: 2008-03-28 02:26 pm (UTC)I have a PBS video of the George Hearn/Angela Lansbury production. The scene that always sends my hair standing on end is "Nothing's Going to Harm You".

Date: 2008-03-28 02:34 pm (UTC)This "free topic" thing is HARD!
1] Most of the people I read on LiveJournal now, I "met"/found in other online places first, or know them in "real life", so writing about their LJ influence on me is kind of pointless.
2] A significant number of my Gentle Readers have locked journals. I don't know whether that should or shouldn't be taken into consideration, if most of you can't read their wondrous words.
Oh well. If I spit out an entry, so much the better. If not, I'll enjoy everyone else's.

Date: 2008-03-28 02:48 pm (UTC)FRIDAY - since my sales appointment at the public library got cancelled, and the weather really is frightful [sleet and freezing rain], today is a day to do data entry on the inventory project, to work more on taxes and to put laundry away. *IF* we don't get slammed with the DOCTOR WHO toy delivery we've been expecting all week, which will change everything... then we'll have lots of parcels to process.
SATURDAY - going to a small college science fiction convention about 90 minutes away to network. Life conspired to get in the way of taking tables there, but it will be good for my partner to get out and about in the fandom community again. I've done the lion's share of traveling and business socializing this year, and he's become too much the hermit for his own good.
SUNDAY - more paperwork, hopefully getting things close to ready to send out. It's hard being a triple entity.
Night all, it's been fun!
Date: 2008-03-28 03:08 pm (UTC)Have a good day everyone, and see you back here whenever I can drag myself out of bed. *g*

I am trying to get something down for this lovely open topic. Just having a hard time narrowing it down to one, I love lots of folks on my flist...they are all different and my favorite in their little ways.
Weekend plans?
Maybe seeing a movie tonight
bellydancing tomorrow and I don't know what else
tons and tons of homework sunday along with getting all measured up again for a costume that someone is making me for the next convention I am attending.

The good news is that I did so well that they asked me to come in tomorrow night and work from 6 until closing. That means I'll be serving during the busiest times!
The bad news is that I had banked on NOT working tomorrow night, and Ross is out of town all weekend, so I have to walk home at midnight by myself!!
Plus, I have a really bad tooth ache in my front bottom teeth. :( Owwwwie!

In other news, tomorrow is my monthly nature center storytime. We are reading Bats at the Beach and Bats Around the Clock and making bat finger puppets. Let me screw on my happy face in time for that.
