A few words from clauderainsrm:

Every week it’s getting a little more difficult to say goodbye, and as we’ve seen over the last few weeks, there is no shortage of surprises when it comes to who that is going to be.

Which will hopefully showcase that this is still very much anyone’s game, and the importance of making sure to vote to keep your favorites in the running. You don’t vote - you can’t be too surprised when they end up going. . .

Nothing really more to say than that. You know how this works by this point. Vote for as many or few of your favorites. Since this is an intersection, the totals of the people partnered will be added together to determine their combined score. The two teams with the lowest combined scores will end up dating kithan going home.

Voting starts now, and ends Monday March 17th at 1pm EST/EDT/GM -5/Whatever you want to call it.

OK, I am not sure whether to be amused or disturbed.

My old man is away at war (not Iraq... I mean the Gulf Wars SCA event)... he has spent the last 6 days (with two more to go) dressed in armor, whacking his friends with rattan sticks. He is in man heaven.

We have spoken nightly, and when I offhandedly mentioned the polls were up, he actually panicked... thinking he wouldn't be home in time to vote... not for me, dear friends, though I suspect he casts one my way pretty regularly, seeing as how he likes my ramblings.... oh no... he wanted to know about his short list of 'faves'... So, while getting dressed for court (we are all very excited because the heads of our Household are receiving a barony tonight) and while he walked there, he actually HAD ME READ TO HIM.. yep.

Then, establishing that his 'peeps' (who don't even know he exists) hadn't let him down, he actually GAVE ME HIS PASSWORD (unheard of folks) and made me cast his votes for them. On the phone. From war.

And for a change, I actually posted about the vote in my journal. Because I believe in my partner that much. Minikin's entry was awesome. If I had the power, I'd drive the masses to join livejournal just to vote for her post so she could have the highest vote count this week.

Today we're going over to a friend's house. My husband has to fix some nightmare of a cabling job. My gosh, I don't know what those idiots were thinking, but holy cow. Those people better be lucky i wasn't around. They'd not have left my house with a cable protruding from a hole in the wall and hanging down four or five feet. Or at least, they wouldn't have left without the aid of a bodybag and a gurney.
