A few words from clauderainsrm:

There comes a time when everyone needs a little help from their friends, or gets the chance to give that help. “The Intersection” is one of those times. You have been paired up, into groups of 2 (and two groups of 3) and now must rely on each other to help you get to the next stage of the game.

Votes will be cast for individuals, and as always, vote for your favorite entries! However, while in the intersection, the totals of each person on a team will be added to make the group total. The two teams with the lowest totals will be going home.

Voting starts now and will continue until Monday March 3rd at 1pm EST. It is “standard voting” for those curious. Which means that anyone can vote and you can vote for as many entries as you want.

With that said - Grab your partners and let’s get going!

There's no way of changing the poll without throwing out the vote altogether and switching where it is so all the people who have already posted their links/voted would be out of luck.

It's going to have to be a community only vote this time.

To make up for it, only the lowest vote team is going home.

Irritant #5636 about certain LJ layouts:

I really hate it when at the bottom of the comments there's no Reply for a new comment; instead the "reply" that's there is in reply to the last comment not the post itself. So then you have to scroll all the way back up the to the post to get the right reply link.

Grumble.

I'm curious as to how many people are voting with teams in mind. I totally didn't; I just went down the list like I always do and voted for my favorite entries. I didn't even think about doing it based on teams.. I wonder if that would've been a better idea..

A brief look back and ahead

I was looking back a last season, and by round sixteen we were down to the top 25. The other veterans who are here with me (known or even unknown) will back me up on this: we still have a long road ahead of us.

It feels like the talent is better this season, the drive to win stronger, the desire greater.

Or maybe that is just me. *grin*

Anyway... I was astounded at how many entries I wanted to vote for this round. I ultimately had to change my criteria; that was depressing.

I think I am going to settle in with a good book and a cup of coffee. It looks like it is going to be a long, long day.

The thought of watching any competitors leave at this point is not a happy-making one. And yet, we have *counts fingers* at least another 14 or 15 weeks to go (46 players, losing on average slightly more than 3 players per week), where we all get to do just that.

*sigh*

Taking *nothing* away from previous seasons or competitors, because every season is different. But considering the first two seasons we didn't even have this amount of people at the start - and last season we were still cutting some of the people who weren't really as much into what was going on at this point.

So that said, I can easily say that this is best group of 46 we have ever had!
