Moving Day

 I move into my new place on April 7th

Decent location. Close to work.  Price is “ok”.  

Just wanted people to know  since that is definitely going to impact the start date of our 20th anniversary.  (Hopefully in a positive way)

I’ll be doing more with the Patreon group in the coming months to help keep the lights on!!  

it’s going to be a huge transition but at least I’m around to make it and that’s a pretty huge, and fairly unexpected, deal!!!

Congratulations on a big milestone! The first two parts of it sound good, and should lessen the bus hassle you've dealt with for so long.

I'm sorry it's necessary, but I'm glad you're having success with it.

Finding a decent location was THE battle. I found places in the same price range/cheaper that were "close by work" but in one of the BAD directions. OR, they were affordable, but in a food desert/not easily accessible by bus.

This has a couple routes. One "OK" but one pretty decent and a LOT of stores and restaurants within walking distance. Including one of my favorite places. It's a 10 minute bike ride (50 minute walk if I got desperate) to work. It's about a 20 minute bike/cheap Uber from my favorite movie theater as well!

I've spent this last year trying to figure out how/where I was going to land and if I wanted to at all... this is going to give me the best shot at having an actual life and not just existing.

That is wonderful, Gary! Especially the living not existing part. Too many people are in the morass of the latter nowadays.

! That actually sounds like a very GOOD location! Really, anything you can walk to for groceries seems like a huge plus. Our neighborhood has a suburban feel, but there are 3 grocery stores within a mile in several directions, plus a bank, dry cleaners, and a gym. If we were to ever reach the point where we were no longer able to drive.

Plus, that's a pretty good distance from work. Is there a bus that would take you there as well, during the wetter season (when you wouldn't want to bike)?
