There are some stories that are forged in chaos, and some that are forged in fire.

inkstainedfingertips was forged in both.

Once upon a time, in a different universe, he showed up and was one of the first people to be eliminated.   I'm not sure he even remembers that.  :) 

Years later, he comes back with a new life and even more talent, and finds a way to get to the end of the biggest "WTF" mini event of them all!  

Some luck. Some social game. Some strategy. But ultimately a LOT of really amazing writing led him to this place, at long last, becoming the 3rd make winner in Idol history!! 

Stop and think about THAT for a moment. 19 years. 3 male winners. (counting a co-winner)

Congratulations! I wasn't always able to comment this season, but I did like your vampire pieces. I'm someone who's researched the myth of the vampire and who regularly appears on panels about vampires for the local science fiction convention, so it's fun to see a new take on it.

This is some rarified air here. I'm honored to join such a small club! 4,532nd time is the charm, right?

I'm really grateful for this game and for all the folks who play, who continually pushed me every single week. There is some amazing talent in this group, and bringing your A-game week in and week out is a must. And a super big thank you to the folks who supported me this season!

I'm very glad that drippedonpaper pushed me to come back last season. I've enjoyed the experience again after being away from Idol for sooooo long. So, thank you, Maria! And thank you, xeena for... everything.

Also, thank you to clauderainsrm for continuing to put so much of yourself into this madness. Even when you have so much heavy stuff going on in your "real" life, you continue to turn up for us. Thank you for building and sustaining this community and this playground for us to romp in.

Lastly, I'd encourage everybody to throw a little something into Gary's Tip Jar if you're able. He does a lot for us even when he's got a lot on his own plate.
