Excellent choices. I also highly approve of the simultaneous parent dances. We did that, too. We actually started with me/dad and then Adam/his mom joined us about 1/3 of the way through. It cut out a lot of the horribleness of being up on the dance floor ourselves for an ETERNITY.

So here I am trying to wake up! So far completely uninspired for LJ Idol but totally inspired for the next part of my Juan of the Dead!!!! Woot! So since it WILL NOT LEAVE ME ALONE I am trying to get it down.

Tonight is my writing group. My goal is to have Chapters 2 and 3 of Nano 06 ready for them. If Juan doesn't leave me alone I might just have chapter 2 of Juan for them. HAHA

I am up to... 5'2" I think. And down another .5 lbs (a total of 5 since I started this new medication regime, and 11 since I started WW).

Today I'm a bit... erm... unmotivated.

LJ Idol has been taking it out of me. Getting time for the GR and interacting with others has been tricky for months. But now that I'm not actually working, when I try to get in the GR, I find a lot of folks whining or bitching or complaining that things aren't fair or it should be this way or that way. I end up running and hiding and not interacting at all, which for me was a big part of joining.

And now I have to team up with someone, and I don't know ANYONE well enough. And it's all getting too much for me.

So I'm going to just stand over here in the corner for a while.

It's ironic -- I said similar in my last journal entry last night, then I figured I'd go to bed so I could get a better perspective in the morning.

I may have a partner now, but I still kind of feel I'm sitting on the sidelines because neither her nor I are "popular", if you know what I mean.

It's snowing, and classes have been canceled until noon. I'm holding my breath, to see if they will be canceled for this evening.
I'm wondering if I should go grocery shopping, not that easy since I have to take busses. *sigh*

Just finished my homework, getting dressed and heading over to V's house for some community time. Then I've got a messy kitchen to address, clean laundry to fold, and finances to update.

I'll be out of the house much of today, taking Tigger from school to tutoring club, with some intense homework time at the library, in between.

Morning!
Today...It's my Friday basically. Yay for 2 day work weeks but on the flip side, I have class tonight, tomorrow a 3 appointments in preparation for the convention, class tomorrow night, packing for the convention, getting party packets ready for the convention, Thursday check into hotel, go to hotel meeting....then let the insanity of running a con rule for my life until Sunday/Monday.

So in the end, I am going to try and enjoy today.
Get all the work off my desk as possible.
Get as caught up with homework as possible
work on con stuff
and maybe hopefully get something written in the form of a home game entry.

I'm eagerly awaiting a specially commissioned illustration for my and tulip_in_yellow's partnership. Other than that, work, etc. I've had A History of Violence sitting on my TV cabinet from Netflix for a couple weeks now, I'm going to make a concerted effort to watch it tonight. Because whose life wouldn't benefit from a little more Viggo Mortensen in it?

Yesterday, we went to the Grand Canyon West and did The Skybridge (http://www.grandcanyon.com/grand-canyon-skywalk.html). It was totally awesome!!

Today we're meeting our friends for brunch at 10am (local time - it is now 8:06 am), go play some minigolf, do some shopping, have dinner, then see Spamalot, with John O'Hurley playing the lead. We managed to get some FABULOUS seats in about the fifth row orchestra. Woot!

And last night, I played the penny slots - I put in a $10 bill, and walked away with $62.20 -- FABULOUS! (And hey, it made up for the $40 I'd just lost on roulette, LOL)
