Doing okay. Laundry is in the dryer and I’m still working my way through copy editing a boy’s adventure novel. The manuscript is about 300 pages. I got about 90 pages in, realized there was an error in nomenclature for one of the secondary characters (the author was using a nickname for him, BUT the nickname was only supposed to be used by the main characters regarding him; the secondary character wouldn’t refer to himself by that name). So I had to go back through and re-edit. Whee.

Currently have about 110 pages completed. At least it’s not due back to the author for review until the end of the month.

Me too! It's been another tough year, finishing off house-related stuff. And work sux. I'm at 1 3/4 years on a project I've hated since the beginning, and it's getting uglier, so I'm dying to escape-- even if just for a week or two!

I'm on vacation, finally! I'm at the point in life now where if my schedule goes too much in one particular time frame, I'm liable to lose it and lose it badly as multiple days wear on. Thankfully this has been noted and my schedule adjusted. Nobody wants Kizzy to lose it badly, especially at work :p

(badly = "I'm very overtired so I'm either going to be too silly or too angsty and may regret something I'll say or do while I'm in said state.")

Is anyone still seeking a partner?

My weekend sort of kicked my butt. I had a ton of yard maintenance on the docket (still! I think I wrote about my wild tornado damaged backyard last season), but I injured one of my feet last week so I was literally limping along in the heat this weekend. Made progress, but not enough. Never enough. Although I did teach myself some chainsaw maintenance online, and then get a saw that had thrown its chain running again so that was exciting.

Although I did teach myself some chainsaw maintenance online, and then get a saw that had thrown its chain running again so that was exciting. this is so cool! I love you're always managing to get so much done. And I hope your foot is better now! 🫂
