A few words from clauderainsrm:

It’s the first week of Idol without the safety net, and we are starting it out losing two incredible contestants who left a pretty deep mark on this mini season, and the competition itself.

Goodbye to fausts_dream and tigrkittn - thank you to both of you for coming out and sharing with all of us. I hope that we will continue to see you in the Home Game and in Green Rooms!

As for the rest of you, there are still two more contestants who will be leaving us. So it’s up to you, the voters, to decide what is going to happen next! Who will make it to the Sweet 16?

😂😂😂 I thought for some reason the deadline was tomorrow. I wasn't sure I'd get anything written anyway, but I guess now I don't have to worry about it. We'll never find out Tim's side of the story, or what caused him to start to see colors as numbers...

I thought it initially was Monday as well. That looks like it's how we lost both of you, and neither with a sacrifice. You both thought there was another day left. I wonder if the deadline changed after it was first posted?

I've really enjoyed your stories this season, and this last series was both fun and creepy. I wouldn't mind some Home Gaming on your part! It's never too late!

FYI- no. The deadline did not change and I posted a Green Room the day before reminding everyone of the day and time.

It really sucks that two people ended up missing it but that was definitely something that was mentioned a few weeks ago, that once byes were gone we’d probably see a couple people end up accidentally missing the deadline on one of those transition weeks. :(

It's good to know the deadline didn't change. Maybe that was wishful projection once I saw the prompt. This was one of the hardest ones I can remember ever coming up in Idol, so I thought you were giving people more time. :D

Well F me running.... Last time I looked six people had posted so I assumed I had another day.

This is nothing other than poor time management on my part... And not know exactly when the deadline was.

Was like a super short time between the sudden death right off and the actual end.

No I won't make excuses that's bad for my recovery congrats to the top 20 and I'll see you guys again count on it

It was so disappointing to see you'd missed the deadline! Funny, I thought at first we had until Monday as well-- and I think a few other people thought so, too. I wonder if it changed?

Please Home Game and let us know how things go for Zeke and Hannah! I was really enjoying that series!

I originally thought the deadline was Saturday, but at 7 p.m. I looked at the prompt at about 11:50 a.m. on Saturday, saw the "Noon" and my blood went cold. But then I saw it was Sunday and realized I could take more time.

I'm so sorry to see fausts_dream go, because I have enjoyed seeing his unique spin on things, as well as his forays into fiction.

tigrkittn also has been a strong contender and has always been so. I hope you both continue to write in the home game!

Missing the deadline or confusing the date can happen so easily especially when real life keeps pestering. Sorry to lose you both!
