Well, my endoscopy and colonoscopy are today. I'm not looking forward to them, but I am kind of anxious for them to figure out what's wrong with me. I'm tired of losing weight, and I want to eat like a normal person again.

*looked at my valentinrs*...I had like 4 anonymous Valentines on that and I'd like to thank those individuals but I was only able to discern one of them (the writing gave it away and it's someone I actually talk to regularly on the phone)...those darn anonymous Valentines dammit!!

NO all day meetings today -- in fact Carrie's going in for a second interview for this job that SHE'D better GETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!! I'm getting tired of these dead end contract jobs..

I've been really busy the last couple of days, so haven't had the time I wish I had to drop in for a chat.

I have to move from here on Monday, and will be staying with my Dad until I find a place of my own. So I'm spending most of my waking hours looking online for apartments, as I need to be in my own place as soon as I can.

I'm not sure how much I'll be in here over the next couple of weeks, but hopefully I'll still be able to post my entries if I make it to the next round. Thankfully I still have both my Byes if the router I bought today doesn't work.

I made red velvet cupcakes for the kid to take to school today. They turned out a lovely, rich shade of scarlet, I hope her classmates aren't too freaked out by them.

My sister and I made a red velvet cake a few years ago. We were really tempted to take the batter and stage a murder. It's intense stuff...

Here's to hoping the school doesn't confiscate the cupcakes for having too much red dye and being potentially lethal :P

No news today, but there's this.

So there's this bar at the top of the Empire State Building, and two guys are sitting there, having a drink together. It's an awesome bar, and there's huge windows all around the place so you can have this great view of the city. They've had a couple drinks, and they're getting kind of rowdy. One of them walks over to the window and opens it, and this incredible updraft starts flying up into the room. He struggles and shuts the window, and they laugh and "holy shit" and sit back down. They talk about it on and off over a couple more drinks, and the first guy makes a bet that if he jumped out the window, the updraft would push him right back in. The second guy takes him on the dare, and money is laid on the table. Guy 1 has another drink, goes to the window, takes a deep breath, and jumps out. He falls down a few stories, slows down, and then slowly floats back up. After he grabs the window and climbs in, he starts going on and on about how incredible it was and tells the second guy that he has to try it. Guy 2 is nervous, but he's excited too, so he has a couple drinks, goes to the window and jumps. He fells down a few stories, then a few more stories, and hits the pavement.

Guy 1, chuckling to himself, collects his money from the bar. The bartender looks up and says "You know, you can be a real jerk when you're drunk, Superman."

My boyfriend and I are very anti-Valentine's Day. So much that we asked each other, "Is it okay if I specifically DON'T do anything nice for you today?" Since we're constantly giving each other little lovey-dovey gifts anyway.

I don't like the idea of this holiday because it feels far too much like you're making up for all the love you didn't show through the year. Also, getting chocolates and such from random people in my dorm stuck to little cards with hearts on them does nothing but make me feel like "love" has no meaning.

...Well, no, it does something else. I get chocolate. So it's not all bad *nom nom*
