So here we are, at the end of the mini season that didn't seem all that mini. :)

We started on Livejournal - and ended up here at Dreamwidth. Which probably says a lot about just how wild this process getting here has been!

So let's cut to the chase and make this official:

Which yes, does make her the first person to ever win a mini season AND a regular season!!! (halfshellvenus won a mini season and the special event, for those keeping score. *looks around at all the spreadsheets*)

I plan on coming back and actually saying more about each of you. But for now, just know that you should be really proud of making it this far and being such a great representation of this mini season.


Thank you to all 3 of you - and to everyone who came out and helped make this special, even if I couldn't do my part the way I would have liked.

Thank you so much Gary for keeping this season going through everything that happened this year. Through the overwhelming stress at your work. And ferrying us over from LJ to DW at just the right moment.

I, personally, want to dedicate this victory to bleodswean. I think she deserved to win most of us all and if it hadn't been for that stupid covid, I'd have been a very happy second behind her.

A big thank you also to everybody who took part in this year's adventure. In particular those who voted for me ;) Best xmas gift I ever received ❤️

I was trying to wait until Gary updated the post to say something about us, but maybe he's going to make a separate post to make sure people actually see it. ;)

Anyhow, first off, congratulations to dadi for the win! Well deserved after a consistently great season. I'm always impressed with her stories and find them incredibly engaging. That's saying a lot from me because I'm someone who has a history of being frustrated by longer Idol entries, but I was never bored with the length of her entries. Well done!

Congratulations also to flipflop_diva on coming second. As I said on the vote post, she's also been one of my favourite contestants all season. She's had a nice blend of fiction and non-fiction entries, and I've enjoyed both from her. Not everyone is able to pull that off well, but I love the variety from those who can!

Thank you to everyone who supported me making it this far and voting for me in the finals. I'm not remotely disappointed about coming third after these two. This was the first time I ever broke the top ten, let alone made the finals in Idol, so it was exciting and a pleasure to be here.

And last but not least, thank you to Gary for hosting it all over again. I know it was a challenge for you to keep it going with all the RL stuff that came up. But I wouldn't have written anywhere near as much as what I did had you decided to suspend the game until things calmed down for you. Great prompts really inspired me to write much of what I came up with this mini-season. Also, I secretly thought meeting you IRL while this was all going on would be my downfall and get me voted out sooner, so I'm glad that I was wrong about that. ;)

Congrats to our newest two-timer! I sadly haven't been keeping up these last few weeks as I've been trying to get into a groove in my new position, but I know that this was a hard-fought win. All three of you are amazing in my book; I'm always honored to get to know you more each time we do this. :)
