There's a lot I could say this morning, but it probably would just be rehashing over details that I happen to personally disagree with on one side or the other in the various debates going on, and heck, probably a thing or two to throw out for people to discuss. Not really in the mood this morning though.

Instead I will say this - MAINTAIN CIVIL BEHAVIOR. Most of what I've seen keeps within the bounds of people being rude rather than abusive, but if anyone slips over that line within the lines of the game I can and will be forced to take punitive action against them. I don't want that. You don't want that. No one has fun that way. So let's just keep our heads and act like adults. Ok? We can pretend.*g*

Today is Super Tuesday, so anyone in the US who is in a primary state, make sure to take the time today to get out and vote. I'm sure that most of the people this applies to are probably already planning on doing just that. But it's never been more crucial for people to stand up and be counted for what they believe in, and to make informed choices.

Oh, I did hear during the course of conversations yesterday that there are people who, for whatever reason, seem to think that there are only a select few contestants that I talk to... this is absolutely true. Who are these people? The ones who talk to me. You want to have a conversation outside the game? You want to talk to me about this or that within the game that you have questions or comments on? Sure, I do end up with a lot of emails, so I might not get to it right away, but I will read it and there will be a response.

My apologies to everyone I haven't responded to in comments lately. I got over 400 comments in my inbox over the weekend and I've fallen completely behind. They've all been read, and I'm still working on it, but it's going to be at least tomorrow before I can do anything about it. I'm sorry about that.

Big things going on in my life. I got my new cats Jack E. Rabbit and Dreamsicle. Jack's 14 years old- he lived in the cat refuge for 12 years. This morning, he was absolutely FASCINATED by the shower- he'd never seen one. He wanted to jump in with me- I had to keep taking him out. He's deaf and sweet. Dreamsicle fell asleep on my stomach last night. He's a total cuddlebunny. He and my original kat Tama are not getting along, but things are improving.

I'm still very drained from this weekend. I don't like it when people I like and care about fight with each other. I said it on week 0 and I'm saying it now: I just want everyone to do their best. I add that I'd like to have fun and play clean, which I think was implied anyways.

I have a roommate! He wrote to me yesterday saying he'd like to move in tomorrow! I won't be poor! He seems like a really nice guy- I'm very optimistic. :-)

I've been really lazy about my schoolwork. I've blown it completely off this last week, and I still don't have my books from Amazon.com. :-( NOT cool of me.

I'm at my first day of new work and sneakily catching up in the Green Room. I'm really stumped this week. While I read Google News every single day, I still feel that I'm not up to date with current events like I should be. At least not as most people would be interested in. I tend to read about UK and/or European issues rather than American. And let's face it... it's pretty boring over here. :)

I'm off today, so after we stop being lazy bums, we'll go vote up at my old junior high then go out for pancakes because it's also Mardi Gras.

It's cold, wet, rainy, and miserable out there.

Oh, and we're now down a car. The engine of my husband's Sunfire died in a parking lot on Saturday. The first mechanic said the timing chain's broken in 3 places rendering the engine kaput. We're going to tow it to my in-laws' mechanic to see what he says.

Meanwhile, life with only 1 vehicle? EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

It's day two of hell week. I wish my boss would have asked one of the other girls to be here at 9am so that I don't get swamped in the rush.

I'm relaxing today. I pushed myself too far yesterday and ended up being sick to my stomach, passed out and had a little bleeding that worried me. So today is spent doing a little computer time, playing with Teddy a little and relaxing as much as possible. I should be doing some housecleaning, as my in-laws will be coming in on Thursday for Teddy's birthday. But a lot of people are trying to tell me that it's more important for both the baby and myself to take it easy and after yesterday... yeah, that's what I'm going to do.

Anyone want to come feed me bon-bons (or take Teddy out to the playground)?

Gosh I wish I could vote with the half the nation voting today... I'm jealous! I think some major headway will be made for both parties today. WIth half the Dem votes being cast today and nearly half of the GOP... we're going to see this crazy race starting to shape up and things truly finalizing.

I'm glad I get to vote next week when, if I'm lucky, there's still a point to voting in the primary. I am real irate at the whole thing. I think it sucks. And I'm mad at the democratic party for being jerks to Michigan and Floriday. I don't care, I understand those states wanting to play a part in the primary and I think this voting over months is for the birds.

I'll be watching returns all day, half the night. And working on this lap quilt I got the fabric for. (Doing this one all by machine.) These are my big plans for today!!!

Also hoping for a nap. I'm tired. I had to wake up at dawn to take my husbands car to a garage to get worked on so I can then take it to the dealership to get the state inspection finalized. I'm really tired of this mess stringing along!!

Whee! Waiting for the installer guy from DirecTV to come out and put in the HD DVR so that we can finally get decent usage out of our big screen HD television set. There's just one problem: they've already canceled on us four times (just deleted the order out of the system and never bothered to tell us). Do it again, and they'd better be talking compensation since the husband had to take a day off work to wait for them to be here.

Meanwhile, I'm staying off my back (which never did decide to go where it belonged) and watching birds at the feeders. I wanted orioles and warblers and other brightly colored songbirds. I got greedy, bossy swamp sparrows.
