Some people would say that my “most annoying personality trait” is the overwhelming need, week after week, to eliminate people from LJ Idol. But that’s the only way we are going to move forward.

What a week huh?

We’ve had a little of everything – including some jaw dropping entries!

When you look at the poll you might not think there is anything different. After all, there are two groups of entries. But wait – didn’t Gary say that the tribes are gone?

Yes indeed I did.

They are.

The groupings are just so the lists are not overwhelmingly big.

Who is going this week? The bottom four vote getters OVERALL. So it doesn’t matter if you are in the first poll or the second, you are now competing across the board with every single contestant. So you had better start bringing your “A game”.

Are there any special powers this week? Yep. Two people are getting them. One on the top, and one on the bottom who doesn’t get eliminated.

You want the powers? Make sure to keep your eye on the ball and keep fighting for them because other people want them too.

You want to stay alive? Then make sure you aren’t even close to the bottom of the pack!

Voting starts now, and it is open to everyone with an LJ account (normal voting), and will end on Monday Feb 4th at 1pm EST.

Another question -

Lots of people are voting for one or the other in the sudden death cage match - I know I voted for someone when I may or may not have voted for either without the cage match going on.

Can one of the cage match people win the highest vote power? That seems sort of off since they are getting attention drawn exclusively to them in an ~pick on of these two~ manner where everyone else is competing in the whole read one of these 70-some and pick.

Basically, I want to see lacombe win the most votes thing because choose your own adventure is awesome. :)

I agree. This question has been asked elsewhere as well, and I haven't seen an offer.

I think that if their votes are ignored in regards to the lowest, it should be ignored in regards to the highest.

Not sure that's the case though. I guess we'll have to wait for Gary to answer it.

Ok I just need to get this out.
I'm making no accusations here.
But, by having a drop in mini competition for votes, it creates an atmosphere of "NEED" for votes. Which is very tempting and easily manipulated.

I dont have to say anymore than this one fact.

There are 45 accounts watching this community that have NEVER had a single post placed in them as normal journals or any kind of journal. These accounts are blank and can be used strictly for adding votes the to tally.

You want to run a fair game?
Check our your members before approving them all.
You can easily go to the member info page, click more details and see the creation date of the journal. Or if you bring up all of the members of this community and go to the last page (8). You will see the list of 45 account that say "NEVER UPDATED".

I'm not saying that votes have been manipulated. I'm just saying that it walks and talks like a duck.
