I don't have some huge list of people (especially since I haven't played Idol in a while now), I didn't ask for votes on DW this week because I was too sick, I NEVER ask for votes on Twitter (I tried once; that failed, back when I was on Luzon with you), and I use Instagram for pics only. All my social media links are up in my profile here: anyone can go see that I'm telling the truth. I don't have ANY reach to the outside world because I choose to keep Survivor isolated to DW, and the people I could ask to vote for me here on DW are Idol/Survivor players (or people who are now on the Jury/had to drop for whatever reason!).
So I don't know who is voting, but I'd like to think they're finding quality in my work, and if so, I'm happy to hear that. If not, I hope Gary would address it, and knowing Gary - he would.
This is my worry with this format and immunity. If I won it twice in a row, what happens next week? Are people actually ANGRY with me when I did the exact same things they did - wrote, posted, and voted? :/

Date: 2021-01-09 07:25 pm (UTC)I hope no one is angry. I know for a fact a few people are, which I'm addressing in my first TC comment. I came here to do what we're all doing - write, and write well! Friend, you are amazing, and I can honestly say I voted for you. I'm not ashamed to say that out loud. I liked what you wrote and I voted for it. Simple!
As for voters, I hope they do like what I write! I'm trying to reach everyone with my words - get out something that people relate to. It's hard to bask in the light of a win when I know a few people are upset, but I'll be damned if I don't work on my craft every week to win a fair game.
Social media accounts can't vote here (I don't think?) - I just meant that I don't link my DW account info over to Twitter and Instagram, and that can be seen if people go to my DW profile to click on my external links for other social media sites. When I tried to that one week while I was on Luzon, no one wanted to set up a DW account just to vote (remember that? I was trying and literally no one on Twitter replied to me, and when they did, it was "I don't have DW and I'm not signing up"). So I don't bother pimping for votes except for here, and I was too sick to even do that this week. It would be cool if people from, say, Facebook (which I personally don't have) could just vote if they liked something, but I think polls are for registered DW accounts only?
Anyhow, I don't mean to be negative. I'm happy that I won. I just want everyone to know things are on the up-and-up, and I'm addressing that right now in my first TC comment! *hugs*
