Since we are waiting for the final member of the new tribe https://therealljidol.dreamwidth.org/1082609.html

(Did you ever settle on a tribe name?), we can handle some questions and go over some general information about how this next stage is going to play out.

Most of this was in the FAQs, but it never hurts to say it again!

- Whoever has the most votes from the Edge of the Extinction challenge will join the merge tribe. Everyone else from EoE automatically become the first members of the Jury.

- Anyone voted out from here on out becomes a part of the Jury. (*Unless they specifically declare that they are done, and don't want to do that... and then they are just gone. But they also don't get a say over who wins.)

- The Jury will be the ones voting at the finale to determine the winner.

- The polls will be for Individual Immunity. Whoever has the most votes can not be voted out at tribal council.

- As a merged tribe, EVERYONE remaining in the game will be going to tribal council now.

- Immunity is transferrable.

- People want to know if there are hidden immunity idols, and if so, how do you find them. I am not telling the first piece of information, and I definitely would not tell you the second. (Although - there has already been a hidden immunity idol played in this game, so I would say it's safe to say that there was at least one! :D )

- The next challenge will go up tomorrow, after the new member joins the tribe.

- We will be continuing to play over these next couple of weeks. Deadlines may be longer than normal.

- If you fail to make a deadline post-Merge, you can considered a "medevac" and are out of the game. (and become a member of the Jury)

- Reminder that the generously donated $100 in Amazon Gift Card "prizes" are divided, on a tier-system, between the Top 4.

- Anyone can comment anywhere EXCEPT for the prompt/challenge posts and Tribal Council. Everywhere else is fine. Those spaces are reserved for current contestants.

- Hope you are having fun, and having a good day.

Just for clarity, even those players that were on EoE but did not compete in the redemption challenge are on the Jury or does that just include those that are competing to come back?

Just making certain I understand this (I'm a bit drowsy today) - the one person who took themselves out of the game weeks ago cannot be on the Jury, but the four of the six contestants who did NOT write for the Redemption challenge WILL be on the Jury (if they show up to vote, I suppose)? Am I understanding that correctly?

I'm having an OK day. A bit bummed that the YMCA will be closed for three weeks, due to our governor's orders, especially since we were being extremely safe at our locations. However, I know there are others in the state that weren't, and I want us all to get those numbers back down.

In other news, I've created a fun puzzle using some of KFP's artwork. Should only take between two and six minutes to solve, if you're interested in trying:

Glad you enjoyed it! My son did it as a school project in late spring. It's influenced by the type of stained glass pieces Frank Lloyd Wright designed for his buildings. Hard to tell from the image, but it was big: about 12 by 10 feet.

I have my brother to thank for the puzzle site, since he used it to create some geocache puzzles recently.

Wow, that's huge! That must have been fun to work on - I remember in high school working with a partner on a probably six foot by six foot canvas and that was quite a project; I can't imagine doing something bigger.

Actually, I misremembered. Looking back at the photo of him creating it, the art piece was more like 5 foot square. He sketched it in paper first, then laid down the tape and colored it in with chalk. I helped with the coloring, at his direction.

Here's a photo of him creating it:

Yes, good memory! It was an amazing piece of art, and I'm so glad I documented it. I explained to him it's like earth artists, whose work goes back to nature and only survives in documentation. :)

That was fun! Please thank KFP for me! Wonderful!

I love doing puzzles but don't take the time to enjoy them.

Thank you so much! <3

This was so cool! I loved it! I need to make a few of these. I can see this being used for different school subjects at school, depending on the images used.

Great idea! And you can keep it private, if you like, and only share the link with the people who will be solving it. You can also have puzzles as easy as only 9 pieces or up to, I think, 80-some pieces. I went with a somewhat more easy number of 36, because I know that people often only want to spend about 5 minutes at a time on something frivolous. :)

My brother told me about the site. He made a puzzle as part of a Geocache clue. People would solve the puzzle, then get a message that gives the coordinates of the cache.

Glad to hear there might be longer deadlines, you keeled me ded with that Thanksgiving run.

It's raining here and in fire-prone NorCal that's a gift worth celebrating!

I'm glad my "send the rain" dance worked, because we needed a week without it here!

And yes to the longer deadlines. Even though we aren't doing much for Christmas, my 9-year-old does not care about any obligation other than my time with him during the holidays, and that clearly comes first, anyhow. So I'm glad it won't be like Thanksgiving, where I SWORE we might just have an open topic!

*hugs*

TRIBE NAME!!!

I think a bunch of us were going back and forth between my idea (Lusagamina) and S's idea (Luzagamina). Same idea, really - I just wanted to keep the "s" from Asaga because this game is exactly that - A Saga, and I think that's a cool concept! But I'm fine with either.

Were there a lot of other ideas? Because I'm fine with what was mentioned above if not!

I like the "z" as otherwise Luzon only gets two letters while Asaga and LaMina each get four. :-p. That's right I'm three! ;-)

Understandable! I think I'm partial to the "S" because it's a smoother flow and keeps the whole "saga" of our game going! And Luzon starts off the name - Luzon was the first tribe, followed by Asaga, followed by La Mina, so it goes in order of what was announced.

I really overthink things when I'm tired, lol. Honestly, while I prefer the ease of the "s" - it's up to everyone and, trust me, this is NOT a big issue in my mind! Lusagamina or Luzagamina - whatever works if we even go with it! *hugs*

That's what I was thinking, too - it has a smoother flow with the s, it sounds proper, and keeps the whole "saga" thing going! :)

I would be grateful for longer deadlines with holidays and all...Not like we're doing much, but time together = less time to write with any level of quality.
I hear big snow is headed for the east. Anyone else hear that? Glad to be on a tropical island for the time being.
