Drop your buffs. You are MERGED!!



Tribe immunity is no more. In fact, the tribes themselves are no more. You will be playing for individual immunity.

From a practical sense - it's a brand new game.

You will all be competing against each other.

The person in each challenge that ends up with the highest number of votes cast for their entry will win individual immunity for that week, and can not be voted out.

If you miss the deadline, you will be counted as a medevac - removed from the game and immediately take your place on the Jury.

Which brings me to the next point - Edge of Extinction is no more. If you are voted out from here on, you are out of the game and move over to being a part of the Jury that will be deciding who will win this game.

Those on that island will be coming back soon to compete in one last challenge to determine who will be returning to the game.

gunwithoutmusic: Well, I made the merge, which was one of my goals coming in. It's a whole new game from here on out. No more avoiding Tribal Council for old Sean, which is a scary prospect, but I'm holding out hope that everything will be alright!

gunwithoutmusic: Any ideas for the new tribe name? Maybe something that combines all of our tribes into one? Luzagamina?

I really like "Lusagamina" - keeps that saga part in but pays tribute to all three teams (and I believe that was the order they were announced - Luzon, Asaga, and then, LaMina)! Nice, simple, to the point!

I think "Lusagamina," to keep the "saga" part of what we're doing here as writers - that's my suggestion, but it's basically the same as yours. Synced up as usual! Plus, it rolls off the tongue easily!

I think it's fitting! This has been a writing saga, and it is in the order the tribes were announced - and, really, is basically the same as yours (but switching out the z for the s to keep the "saga" bit)! Lusagamina is something I can roll with! I wonder when/where we all decide this!

I'm so curious to see how all of this is going to play out! But I am VERY happy to know we're all writing together now. THERE'S that "Idol" format I've always been hoping we'd see again in the midst of Survivor! So while I'll miss my team, it's great that we can all be together again, reading everything, voting differently - all of those elements. :)

As for an all-of-us tribe name - I like gunwithoutmusic's idea of a three-way name-merge. Something about "Asaga" always stuck with me because that's what this is: A Saga. The name was always fitting! But to pay homage to the past while moving forward, I second some combination of the three tribes as a whole. <3

But yay everyone, we did it! We got this far!

A little nervous to see what happens next and to compete with everyone in one tribe, but also very excited for the rest of this game!

Would you believe that one of my friends is a Survivor fan, but only watches the pre-merge episodes and stops once the merge happens? She says that it's more interesting pre-merge and boring post-merge.

But after the merge is where all the action happens!!! So I'm nervous but excited too :)

I mean, I'm kind of hoping for less of that as a player lol, but as a viewer, it's the best. Some seasons more than others, of course, but I don't know how you can't like merge time!

I'm glad we all get to WRITE together again, and voting is much easier when it comes to "should I vote for people who aren't on my tribe?" There's a bit more freedom/less influence there, and I like that.

"Luzagamina" is a pretty good combined-tribe name. But what about Asagaluzamina? Or Laminaluzonaga? Or Luzominasag (for the ultimate vaguely-Russian-sounding name)?

I hope the feast DOES include ice cream! That would be awesome! But at least some part of the ice cream concoction needs to be chocolate. :O

Both Sean and I said Lusagamina - to keep the "saga" in this journey (though I think he spelled it Luzagamina?), so, I'm pretty fond of that. But I'm sure we'll all come up with something... if we can pronounce it. I can pronounce Lusagamina. I'm working on your vaguely Russian-sounding name idea toward the end of that paragraph there, lol! I love it! I legit laughed out loud, so, I'm a fan. ;)

I'm not highly lactose intolerant, fortunately! But ice cream and I don't really mix and (blasphemy, I know) I don't care much for ice cream as it is! So I'll just eat some Cool Whip. I'm sure that will hold up just as well as ice cream will on a hot island. ;)
