CONFESSIONAL (gunwithoutmusic): I spent the weekend hiking around the island and looking at all the wildlife... I mean, looking for food, if anyone asks. *laughs* So now I've pretty much worn myself out and have decided to just work on conserving my energy for the next challenge.

Is there anything more relaxing than floating on one's back in the ocean? Letting the waves gently soothe all the aches and pains and stress out of one? The gentle waves, like being rocked in the arms of the sea...sleepy time!

I'm trying to eat right and avoid venomous snakes.

Just kill two birds with one stone and eat the venomous snakes! They're not like... venomous to eat, right?

Sleeping like a baby since I got my writing and reading and commenting done. Okay, not sleeping like a baby. I wish I was, sans the bedwetting, but in my heart of hearts I'm curled up in bed sleeping like...well, you get the drift.

How are you doing, Gary? How's about we turn the tables on you and start asking you questions? Hard questions? Questions that will keep you up at night? Huh? Huh? What about that?

I'm staying isolated on my side of the island so that no one else gets COVID, so, the basics - water, trying to eat, sleeping for 12 hours and then not sleeping because it hurts, and still writing. In the sand. With a stick, because I guess we can't have computers here? Good thing I have permission from the Production Team for my oxygen and nebulizer, and for home health care (island health care?) to come visit. :)

But I'm still here, caring for my team, caring for all our writers, and just - focusing on the good. Sometimes, that's all you can do.

Thank you so much, my friend. *hugs from 6 feet away* I can't believe this is my second time, but... I'm just trying to rest and not make a big deal about it. I still wrote this week and am still home, so, I have confidence that my oxygen will return to normal! :) <3

It's so true (and part of the reason I really did move to a coastal town). Even with this sickness, with all I'm handling due to COVID, the water gives me joy. And that mental component makes a HUGE difference. :) *hugs*

I'm seriously considering buying one of those portable bidets. I'm becoming kind of a grouch about some of this now. ;-)

Ugh, this comment is just too real. That's been happening here as well, so... supplies are running low. I think we (not the two of us specifically, but the general we) are doing this again indeed. :/

I have been out collecting firewood a few times. I like to go off a little way from camp and watch the wildlife. It’s different here than what I work with at home. I miss my family. Teddy would love the beach with all the sand. He would love the birds. He loves a hike. He would also appreciate the heat. He hates wearing pants so he could buy some more pants free time here on the island. The nicest thing about being here on the island is not having to fight with a toddler about pants.

Confessional: I’ve been kind of looking around for a hidden immunity idol since my trip to exile. I was hoping there was there for me to find. If it was there, I missed it. I’ve just been casually looking on my jaunts around the island. So far nothing.

It’s much better than real life where:
This morning, he's butt naked, and he makes a dash for the front door to go play outside, and runs straight back again because it's 44 degrees right now.

“Mama hold tractor, hold digdigdigdigger peese”

You'd like to play outside with your tractor and your digger? That sounds nice. It's cold outside though, so you would need clothes.

“NO PANTS NO”

Yes, pants and a shirt. You need to get dressed to play outside.

“No dressed”

Ok. that's fine, we can stay inside

“Outsiiiii. Wrap blank!”

You would like to wrap up in your blankie and go outside?

“YES wrap blank, outsiiiiiii”

(So we wrap up and sit on the front step to consider options. It's pretty damn chilly.)

“Mama play tractor, digdigdig”

You can't play with the tractor this way, Teddy. Your blankie would get all dirty.

(look of shocked horror) “Blankie.... dirt?”

Yes. The blankie would get very dirty.

(look of tragic resignation and grief) whispers: “Teddy... ...pants”

I’m going to need to give the trash people a big holiday tip. He runs out naked to see them all the time. Now that we have sorted out when they usually come we try to have him dressed. They always wave and beep at him and it is seriously the bast part of his whole week. He talks about it every day until the next time it happens.

Hahaha Teddy sounds like me when I was a toddler - my friend Josh and I used to go outside to play and we would just immediately pull off all of our clothes and run around naked lol

Thankfully I grew out of that eventually, but I do still hate having to wear pants everyday!!

Just plugging away over here. I don't have the heart to kill the chickens, but I could cook and eat them if that's what it takes to get some food. **tries to pull buff over both eyes and ears to try to rest a little in the shelter**

I think I could do it if I had to. I’d want to wait as long as we could though.

But eggs are good! And don't involve the killing. Don't tell anyone, but I've named each of our chickens.

Oh no! Once they have names we CAN'T kill them for food! That's alright; I'm good with fish and eggs, I suppose. :)

Made and smoked a ham for it and am going to make bread.
I am getting used to ham with flavor.
Beyond that I am avoiding the sick.
