I designed this mini season around the idea of a Literary Prize Fight, knowing that the theme could make this the most dramatic and competitive event yet.

It was a risk, bridging that line between blowing things apart with too much drama and just enough to get and keep people's attention.

Instead, almost everything I made available to help spur that potential drama was ignored and we end up with the two finalists agreeing to a tie and walking out pretty much hand in hand.

Damn hippies ruin everything. ;)

I think kathrynrose would be laughing her head off right now.

It's the second time in Idol history where we have ended in a tie, as well as being the second mini season to do that. The first was where it fit the concept. This time it ran contrary, but the voters just couldn't make up their minds! :D (For those interested, the next round in the process is a Community Only vote. As I've said, we went to that in Season 2.) I don't blame them. I would have had a difficult time picking between them as well. Two very different writers who both deserved the win.

The off season might be restful for you, but it's always pretty busy for me. That makes sense to me. I sort my old time radio programs that way so they'll stay in chronological order.

I'm so glad it makes sense to someone other than me. I used to keep a journal on my PC and also my correspondence and I could never find anything until I started filing it that way. :-)

Thank YOU, Gary. I enjoyed participating, and was sad when my medical circumstances pulled me out (yet again). But I'm happy I could read and vote, and there were two wonderful winners. There were also so many very talented voices this season, and it was a great thing to read new works and make new friends. Idol is good for both.

I won't see you on LJ, sadly, but I'm sure I'll see you again in some other way! :)

She has worked on a number of Disney/Marvel movies - including the film this graphic was based on!!!

Which is just incredible that she was able to create this for us!

Thank you, Gary for all the effort and time you dedicate to this amazing community. I said so a while back, but this was a really rewarding experience for me and I absolutely loved being a part of this. I'll definitely be back in September!

Thank YOU Gary, for hosting this writing competition. It has become a big part of my life, and a good one. (It's one of the few things I look forward to, truthfully.)

Everyone I've 'met' through LJI has been helpful and (as I've stated many times), taught me more than any of my teachers in school. (Although, some would say that's easy since I only went to 10th grade!)
