Results - Week 20

I don't think I should mentally predict anything else this mini season, because I'm always going to be wrong. :)

I'd mentioned before that there was someone who, by the numbers, was the odds on favorite to win - because they were in the top (or close) in every contestant only and email only vote. Having the support of the hardcore Idol voters, and fans, seems like a no-brainer as the person with the inside track. Clearly this is their game to lose.

Except of course, they just lost it tonight.

Tonight we are saying goodbye to an absolutely incredible writer, who has been "bringing it" every single week that he's been in the competition, and for some reason just seems to have a glass ceiling at about this point every single time.

rayaso  is an amazing writer and just all around person from his interactions that I've seen with everyone around him.

He's also one of the few people that I don't need to wonder if he will be hanging around and rooting for his favorite(s). ;)

Never make me a front runner again! Haven't you heard about Gary's Curse? But thank you so much for the compliments. It's been an incredible competition, and this is as far as I've ever made it. The Final Four are such wonderful writers, and their entries showed it. I want to thank everyone for their votes and comments, which made this all worth while. I hope to see everyone at the next competition.

Thanks! I'm still kind of amazed, after being that the bottom for the previous two weeks, and only being saved by the Jury and then an incredibly close run-off poll. I figured my time was done, and we were just dragging out the inevitable. I'm very pleased to have made it a little further, but now I'm really starting to feel bad about seeing other people go in my place. It's all very complicated. = )

Honestly, I can't believe you're out. I really enjoyed your piece this week and thought for sure you'd manage to pull it off. I blame the Gary Curse, indeed.

rayaso IS an amazing writer who has charmed and entertained and amazed by virtue of his imaginative creativity with every single entry! The elimination process is never easy, it always stings and basically sucks. Your writing is a treat, G, and I enjoyed and looked forward to reading your clever responses to the prompts.

You are also such a generous player! Your comments always make "me" feel great so I'm certain sure it's the same for the other writers.

Sometimes, unfortunately, you just get outwritten and at this stage, their is no room for error. I am thrilled to have gotten this far, especially with your help and encouragement. Your compliments mean a lot to me, especially the last part. Several of my stories were written with you in mind. I'm sure we'll both be writing for the next Idol.

Thank you so much! I'm saddened as well, but the other entries deserved to move forward. The good thing about another Idol is being able to read our favorites such as you. Of course, the last minute panic is not so good, but it comes with the territory.

I am so proud of you for hanging in there through the long and frustrating weeks, and not having to quit because you ran out of ideas. You were fun and funny all the way through the end, and I always loved seeing what you came up with.
