Green Room - Week 12 - Day 8

Plans don't tend to change that often when it comes to Idol, which is why I like to be upfront and tell you when it does, and why.

I had planned on announcing the new topic last night. But as I was about to do so, I had a change of heart and decided to instead start everyone on the same footing in Week 13. So it will be announced following the results of the Write Offs.

Which, speaking of the Write Offs, that's another thing that changed. I had intended them to be regular polls. I was created them. I was in the process of posting them. After an hour of weird error messages and the poll itself not showing up (to the point that I ended up checking to make sure my paid time hadn't expired, it hasn't. Yet. It's close though) I was at the point where I started considering other options. The one that made the most sense was to have a Contestant Only email poll.

Given that this is for who is moving forward, I might as well put it before a true Jury of Your Peers to make the call. Especially since the general readership was unable to make a clear decision.

I've had a few ineligible people email me - and I've had to let them know that I couldn't take their ballots. Which sucks. I would love to take as many votes as possible - but to be clear: Contestant Only means "if there was a poll posted RIGHT NOW, your name would be in it". (or could be in it, given that there is a Write-Off happening. :D)
If your name would be in the poll - I can take your ballot.

If not, then I can't.

LOL...I was one of the ineligible person and it's good to know that I wasn't alone..:P :D

We won't be able to see the moon this side of the world :/ Though we have a kiddie telescope with us which was returned by the distraught parents coz its difficult to focus ...and we are waiting for the right time to inaugurate it (What a lie! psst..we are plain lazy)

Talking of lazy..I binged watched a series on Netflix (Little things) and a movie which people were raving about (Andhadhun- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8108198/) It's worth the hype.

Also, have kept the coffee brewing and here are a plate of chocochip cookies..help yourself everyone :) Cheers!

I enjoyed season 2 more than season 1 and you can watch any episode randomly (doesn't have a continuity issue)

My weekend was a tad on the stressful side of the meter. Saturday poll results, then the Sudden Death Write Off, (My first EVER!) writing most of Sunday. Whew!

After yesterday, today is kind of...Monday. I was reading all the Sudden Death entries as they came in and Boy-Howdy there is some very stiff competition. Whatever the outcome I don't think one of us has anything to be ashamed of--A-games from all!

Blood Moon? I went to bed really early and didn't see it. I don't even know if I could have seen it from here. We're in Chinook mode right now and that tends to be cloudy. My cousin from WA posted some photos he took of the whole thing last night and it looked gorgeous. I did get to see the one during the Feast of Tabernacles a few of years back--couldn't stop looking at it. There is something about seeing a huge red ball hanging over you that is kind of unnerving, even though beautiful.

I got kicked in the metaphorical teeth twice this weekend, am now nursing my wounds, and trying to cut the emotional ballast free so I can sleep again and move forward. /crytpic

Coulnd't see the wild womyn wolf moon because of the rain.

BUT, we are watching True Detective Season 3 in real time so we are on par with the world and enjoying the hell out of this amazing bit of tv. A hearkening back to the flawless masterpiece that is Season 1. Anyone else watching and want to fandom flail with me?

Couple things: why is 44 year old Wayne so angry with his wife?

Why is a First Communion picture so shocking a thing to Wayne? Yes, it's reminiscent of the pose...but wasn't that obvious when he found him originally? Also, in my neck of the religious woods, First Communion means all-white clothing....

Went out to check for the Eclipse last night, but the clouds from rain hadn't cleared enough to see anything.

In an earlier version of the weekend forecast (which is life all over, right now), the rain was supposed to come on Monday, which meant we would have seen it! But nooOOOOOoooo...

Clear as bell right now, but it's too late. However, we will get to bicycle outside, so that's good! It was pretty wet here last week. :(
