Good Morning and welcome to another day of the Gatekeeper watch, where you wait to hear your fate!

(As opposed to being able to click and see your unfolding fate).

As stressful as it is for you, remember this is one of the few times when *I* can't vote! I'm handing over the fate of the game to an independent panel and hoping that it ends up being as good of a balance as I think it will. (I try to get folks who I know like different kinds of styles)

There are now 4 Golden Ticket byes out there in the world.

These special byes are eligible to be played until the Top 20 - but more importantly, they travel with you. You can play them while in the game. You can give them to someone else even if you *aren't* in the game... you can play them as part of Second Chance!!

Tomorrow evening is the last time to get them. So, if you're on the fence - maybe you should get yours before everyone else does! (Note: Not everyone is going to get them. That's just my high pressure sales pitch. :D)

Another thing to remember about them, is that the money goes toward the Prize Purse, which is split between the Final Four! The current amount is $353.59!!

Good morning! (Still morning for me.) :)

I have a Gatekeeper question: Do the Gatekeepers offer feedback on entries, or just votes? If there is feedback, is there a way for us to get a hold of it?

(Okay, so it was two questions. It's still morning and I'm only one cup of coffee in.)

Most of the time it's just votes. Sometimes there will be a line or two. For instance, on a recent ballot, there was a comment "I wish I could have voted for this five times" (or something similar, I didn't go back into my email). But nothing on any of the other entries they selected.

Sometimes a Gatekeeper will show up in the thank you post and comment on some of the things they liked/answer questions. Sometimes they don't. It's really an individual thing.

I do ask them not to give out negative feedback about what they *didn't* like, just as a general rule, because the one time when that happened, it did not go well. :)

Well, I am actually the least nervous this round. There is ~nothing I can do about the voting, even no temptation to look at the poll results, so I can just read and comment in peace.

I'm the kind of person who would rather know if I'm heading for the elimination rather than sit out the ~uncertainty, but at the same time I feel strangely excited because of the ~suspense!

What is this Christmas shopping thing?

My birthday falls on the 23rd. A Sunday this year. My mother made plans with her SO. My best friends will be just coming back from Curacao. The wrestling I'd like to go to would involve 4-6 hours of travel and getting a hotel for overnight.

Anyways, this calm of voting yet nervous also has me realizing I should take this time to write other stuff.

We're done! Nothing like impending surgery to motivate your lack-of-Xmas-spirit-a$$! LOL My Secret Santa at work got a puppy! I saw puppy posts go up on FB and said, "Thank you Jeebus!" Solved that dilemma...Got her, (or rather the baby puppy) a Nyla-bone, a bag o doggie snacks and a pack of poop bags! Woot!

I have so much shopping left to do. But, you know, newborn baby. If I ever have an excuse to be late on Christmas gifts (except for my sister's family since we spend it together), this is the year.

Strangely, not nervous about the Gatekeepers yet, but I'm sure that will change before Thursday!!

Christmas shopping is kicking my butt this year! It feels like everything is kicking my butt just now, honestly. I know one of the main keys to getting out of “getting-kicked” mode is acting like one isn’t getting kicked anymore. But I’m tired. And I want to rage against inequity instead of smiling and submitting to the ease of feel-good capitalism.
