The one good thing about having posted about Second Chances starting this month is that I can hope that the eliminations aren't "goodbye", just "see you a little later".

We are losing two figures who have definitely made an impression this mini season with their fellow contestants, who ended up coming up a single vote away from forcing a tie and 2 from an even bigger tie... and so on...

I know of them definitely have their fans, so please join me in saying a "I hope to see you in Second Chance" to

moretta  and  (removed)  (due to a poll SNAFU, the second elimination will not count)  

Thank you both for coming out this season. I've definitely been enjoying your entries, and I know others have as well.

I’m bummed to go, but also resigned, since I haven’t been a good commenter of late. But I’m also seeing a different result in the visible poll. Is there an explanation for the discrepancy between what we see and the posted result?

I'm seeing the same thing you are... you have 12, and there are two people with 11. And several people have 12 as well. So perhaps there's something going on with the poll? I am confused as well.

Regardless, if you go, I'm sorry to see that happening, and same with moretta. Eliminations are always sad, even with Second Chance coming up. :/

I refreshed before hitting close poll, and then looked again at a refreshed copy once the poll was closed. Those last 4 votes were not there. But, I can look at them now (which is how I know all 4 of the final votes were votes for you)

I have no idea how it happened, but those votes are legit. I am resending your elimination. No one else will take that second eliminated position though, that wouldn't be fair.

That is bizarre. I had reached out to ask for votes, and I had refreshed the poll and seen myself up at 11, I think, and was thinking okay- sudden death write-off will be interesting. But I didn’t re-refresh until this morning to see the final, I don’t think. I was running on 90 minutes of sleep yesterday after driving home from Atlanta starting at midnight, and actually thought I was eliminated at 7:00 Eastern, then was surprised to see we had until 9:00 a bit after 8:00. A strange occurrence in a year of strange occurrences, but I’m glad to still be here and that no one else had a negative consequence out of the whole deal:
