Results - Week 4

Four weeks into this process, and the eliminations don't get any easier.

This week is no exception to that trend and I can't foresee a week in the future where it will be any less so.  It wasn't until the last hour or so that I had any idea who was going to go home this week, and I think that helps solidify that this is indeed "anyone's game".  

But that hour did pass, and we do have a result this week, where we lose two of our own. 

One of them is definitely know for her last stretch in Idol Minor, but she's proven herself to have universal appeal.  The other might not be an Idol Minor in age, but without a doubt in spirit and that boundless creativity.

This week we are losing

and 
nayanawrites 



They may be gone from our ranks, but hopefully they will not be ghosting us, and Home Game and will return fired up and ready to roll into Second Chance!

Aww! So sorry to see dragonswimmer and nayanawrites leaving us. It is a hard loss on both counts, but I hope to see you homegaming and in Second Chance. Best of luck to you and thank you so much for playing with us.

I haven't been writing as much as I should be (commenting that is), but I have read _everything_ everyone has written, and I have to say that both of these writers (and Gary is ALWAYS the man with his finger on the pulse, I don't think I could have described why I love both writers MORE) have become favorites. I continue to be just so WOWED with the quality and the depth of the writing we've seen. And whether it's personal, anecdotal, fictional, or just based on pure creativity both of these writers have it. That profound thing that makes them real writers versus just anyone with a pen in hand!

I haven't been able to comment on everyone who has left us, as of yet, and I feel bad about that (as bad or maybe more so than not getting to tell everyone individually what I've loved about their pieces! Unfortunately, I've been having to do a lot of my Idoling on planes and in cabs and other forms of mass transit! I have done some in hospitals and in hospice care centers and in cancer treatment clinics. Some has been done on the road and in terminals and while I've watched the clock tick away on one thing or another... but everyone has been so special, so varied and just so... pertinent. It's one of the things I love most about this game. It's its unique ability to bring so many different people together, watching them turn phrases, or mark time and space, or manufacture from the very same idea.) Anyway, wow! That tangent aside, you've all been (and are!) special. Don't ever stop doing this! It's something just so ... special about you.

Both the writers are my favourites and I had voted for them this week. It took me a while to realize(someone pointed it out in Green room) that dragonswimmer is a idol junior and that says a lot about her writing.

nayanawrites is of course a friend and I have always enjoyed reading her, most of her work is easy to relate and thought provoking.

Keep writing you two. Would be looking forward to see you in second chance.
