Results - Week 1
Oct. 9th, 2018 08:12 pmIt's all about the story.
Sometimes it's the story we tell and other times it's the story that we tell ourselves.
There's a little of both in what I have to share with you today.
It was always going to be a sad day. It always is. After all, someone is leaving us/getting their torch snuffed, and that's never fun.
As much as that inner voice says "It wasn't me!" there's always the voice that says "It could have been" and "one day it will be". Which is why it's always important that the community comes together to say goodbye.
"The world needs stories. We need the stories that are primal screams of injustice and survival. We need the stories that are escapism at its finest. We need the artists to envision the possibilities when things seem impossible."
That is what the person leaving us today said in their entry.
It's true. There are stories that we need to tell, and maybe even more importantly, there are stories we need to read - and share with others. These are all parts of what Idol has always been about, and maybe it's just part of that story in my own head, but it seems like now is a time in history when it's important for those stories to be heard.
Today we are saying goodbye to
dreamwriters
Thank you so much for coming out.
I wish that we had been able to hear more of your stories. I hope that we can read them in the Home Game (and yes, there WILL be a Second Chances later this mini season)!

Date: 2018-10-10 01:45 am (UTC)Excited to see there will be Second Chance and Home Game.
All the best to everyone. I was really glad to be able to read everything this week. There was a little bit there where the baby was like “um excuse me” which sounds a lot more like “shriek shriek” which is his newly perfected noise.
