Re: Resource Post
Date: 2014-12-08 10:46 pm (UTC)- Almost anything pertaining to child welfare/child protective services/social services, especially as it exists in present-day or recent-day New York, both as someone who has worked a lot with this stuff and someone who has been on the receiving end of it.
- Disability rights and disability access, accessibility equipment, etc. If I don't know the answer, I probably know someone who knows it.
- Various permutations of college life.
- New York State in general, especially upstate, though I know metro NYC well enough to answer some stuff.
- Government service: how it works, what's plausible and what's way the hell out there.
- Early-mid 1900s social sciences and home economics research, including that I managed to read my way through the horror that is a college textbook called Applied Eugenics.
- Medieval to modern primary medical care, midwifery, and mental health care. If I don't know, I can probably point you in a good direction.
- Medieval Viking culture, maybe. I think I still remember a lot about that. :)
- Polish-American cultural traditions.
- Children's literature pre-Harry Potter.
- Probably other stuff. If you've seen me write about it, it's fair game.
