I remember that vaguely, but for some reason I thought it was a later season. And I recall the season before last(?) where there was some hub bub and uproar over someone stepping down for someone else, or something like that. My memory sucks. :P

And I agree, compared to most of the internet, and for that matter, to other LJ Comms., Idol is a pretty wonderful, supportive place. :)
