You pour yourself in - the happy bits, sure, but the dark bits, the angry bits, the sad and lonely and frightened bits. You strip yourself naked in front of people and get vulnerable.
I've teetered on that brink many times in my life. For years prior to LJ I didn't write one single word because I didn't want to visit those places. Yet, those places are what move me, what inspire me. I know a balance between both must exist, but I have yet to discover it.
