I'm also thinking of coloring my hair. Right now it's my natural color, which is a fairly average-looking medium brown. People have said it's nice, but I'm getting kind of bored with it. I was thinking of going to the salon and getting it dyed some kind of dark reddish color. I have been snapping photos with my iPhone of various red-spectrum hair dyes as inspiration. I don't trust myself to color my own hair, though!

My hair is wavy/curly and has a way of always looking pretty much the same (better or worse but not very different) no matter how it's cut because of the curls (unless I straighten it). I had super-short hair once when I donated mine at a college event, but that looked only okay because of the curls. I wish I could do a pixie cut, but I would have to get professional permanent straightening or use a flattening iron all the time. So, since I'm tired of my hair, I'm thinking I'll change the color since changing the cut significantly while keeping it flattering is a lot harder (though probably still possible if I could figure out how).

I had my hair dyed red a few years ago and apparently some people (meaning my dad) are not quite convinced my hair IS its natural color right now.
